I had my friend installed a second-hand JB4 for me today, and after it was installed, I realized I couldn't connect due to the previous owner didn't un-register the Bluetooth device from their account (Alert 36, already contacted jb4support for it). We left the wires and everything plugged in thinking it would just run on stock since I am not even connected to it.
I left, and everything went okay....until I started accelerating both in comfort and sports mode and It would make this weird sound in interval whenever it goes past 3000 rpm regardless of mph. We popped the hood, and everything seems to be okay, no engine lights, everything plugged in fine. My friend thinks it's chugging due to a wastegates control issue. I plugged out the JB4 in the OBD port but the issue still persist.
Any idea of what this is and what is causing it?
FYI - The only mod I have is an Injen intake and new HKS sparkplugs that we installed a couple of weeks back with no issue so we don't think that's the problem.
