Anyone have pictures of wider tires on factory rims?

Like the title states. I've seen mention of people saying wider is fine, but I have yet to see any pictures. Specifically pics of the staggered GT 19" rims with 235/265 or 245/275. I searched a bit and didn't see anything. Thanks.

There won't be a lot of difference if you're only increasing by 1 or 2 cm overall width. The tyre will bulge out slightly more from the wheel (it may actually provide some level of protection against curbing), but the difference isn't going to be obvious in photos.

A bigger concern than the look of putting wider tyres on wheels is safety. It's not an absolute resource, but the following is useful in considering what size tyres to put on what size wheels...

Tire Width for a Wheel/Rim Size Chart

Sorry no photos to offer but I can confirm this:
When my aftermarket rims were being colour corrected I had these on the OE rims as follows with no issues
Front 8” Wheel - Tyre 245/35/19
Rear 8.5” Wheel - Tyre 275/30/19

Just from your memory, how did the fronts look with 245 width on them?

Based in those wall sizes I quoted....perfect on both front & rear & FYI my new tyres are Falken Azensis FK510

To give you a general idea, you can Google things like:
275 on 8.5
Or
255 on 8 inch rim

And you’ll see how it generally fits, but usually other cars will be pictured.

Still, you’ll get an idea of how it would look on the Stingers wheel.

It will fit and likely be fine on the road. Might not be an absolute gain in track times if you care about those since the wider tires will also make the sidewalls bulge more than stock and sometimes that can make them more flexible which is not good for handling. If you are just a normal guy, it likely won't matter but if you are driving at the 9/10ths to 10/10ths range, you might not be as pleased.

I am going to do 255/35/19 square on my stock wheels for now since my stock tires are about done and I am not in love with any wheel offerings right now. Plus, going squared means I will get the full warranty on all four tires meaning I don't have to care as much for the next year or two.

Is this on the staggered 8/8.5" 19" wheels? I read somewhere I thought that 255 wouldn't fit up front. If these are the staggered wheels, are you going to rotate just the tires and take them off the rims and remount them during a rotation or do a regularfull wheel rotation?

285/35/19 ET street

Track only setup.

Perverse: it says "STREET"on them.

For the street, since they are DR’s, but i wouldn’t advise running a 285 wide on 8.5 other than to make hits in Mexico or at the track. You feel like you’re driving on marshmallows otherwise. That’s why I said track lol.

The look is very pretty and mean. So, straight line bite only. Got it. :D

Yes the stock 19 inch staggered wheels...I am going to have my guys just re-mount the tires when they need to be rotated. I have a very good relationship with my local Tire/Service shop. The manager and basically all the employees are gearheads and they hold meets there every week.
