Anyone else smelling coolant?

The pink stuff smells the same like any other coolant i've used.

Coolant odor is not a defect but a feature.

Unless you drive our cars and have to smell it on a regular basis...

^^I don't agree with this. In my car, the smell is predominantly on the passenger side. The reservoir is closer to the driver side off the middle of the car. Can't see how the odor can travel given car is turned off.

Not sure if the pink/red is an 'upgrade' to the old green (ie can be used safely in place of). When I bought a gal of the pink at the dealer, guy asked me what color I wanted, so suggests they still stock both.
I wonder if there are no firewall points on the driver side? I know there is on the passenger side for sure (like how some owners end up finding rats nests)

Now that I think about it, I've always wondered how outside air flows through the driver side air vents..

That's how the Kia salesperson sold me my Stinger by mentioning its coolant smell at stoplights with the windows down feature!

Yeah, it is odd. Some say it's venting and "normal", others have found a bad water pump and there is @Cory2081 who found the lower intake leak. I've owned 20+ cars and haven't ever had this smell before and feel like something *should* be wrong but at the same time, there seems to be no impact from it in the vast majority of cases. I'm going to have a look at the lower intake spot and see if there is anything there.
Bumping this. I ran into this issue and noticed a leak. Bringing it into the dealership. Stock car 2021 30,000miles.

Looks like water pump gasket. Easy fix. Just strange, it failed so early.

Just to update everyone, it was a bad water pump. They replaced it under warranty no questions asked. Car was running well otherwise and I would not have noticed it should I have not done my routine under hood and oil check.

Make sure your heater works good, and check the overflow reservoir when the engine is cold. Just to be sure, the system was filled properly and there's no air in the lines.
