Anybody coming from BMW 5 or 7 series?

I'm coming from an Audi A6 3.0T quattro. I now have a Stinger GT AWD, almost 2 weeks into it. I enjoy the Stinger GT more than the A6. Both are great cars, the Stinger just beats the A6 in most areas (damping/dynamics are better, braking is better, engine has more punch). The A6 does have a little less road noise, not that it's bad on the Stinger. It is overall a better ride than the A6 was. My two complaints coming from the A6 are that the rear visibility isn't great (the DriveWise package makes up for this somewhat) and that the Stinger's gas tank is too small. Also have to keep in mind the great warranty Kia has vs BMW or Audi. I wouldn't even bother test driving the base Stinger with the 2.0, I did and it's a completely different experience compared to the GT.

+1 - coming from a 2016 A6 2.0 Quattro, and a 2014 A6 2.0 Quattro. I thought the A6 was really good, but the GT2 really kicks butt.
My biggest issue with the 2016 A6 was having to bring it into dealer 3 times in the first 10K miles for repairs. Once it had to be towed in when a coolant line blew and dumped the coolant in my driveway.

The biggest positive for me on the Stinger is the HUD with excellent BSD and NAV, far superior to Audi.

Prior autos for us were 1999 MB E320, 2005 BMW X5, and we still have a 2017 Audi Q7, so we are fans of German... or shall I say we "were" fans of German autos.

I drove 6 series before stinger at Stinger event this summer. Stinger handled much better.

I went from an '05 E46 330ci coupe, driven from brand new... 13 years! To my Stinger GT2. I loved that BMW but maintenance was costing a lot (no surprise) and I don't care for any of BMW's current offerings or price. The things I miss about the BMW: material quality. Lots of stuff on the Stinger is good, but you can see where corners were cut. Usually they were in smart or hidden places. The headliner, visors, climate control knobs, and turn signal / wiper stalks all feel cheap. Lots of cheap, hard plastic in the hatch. The struts, plastic inserts, and hatch close button all look and feel cheap. These are things I can live with in a car that's overall super nice and fun, and cost me $40K vs $60K+ for BMW or Audi.

Not a bmw guy. But, coming from Lexus GS F Sport. The ride and handling feels very similar to me, perhaps a bit more on the harsh side for everyday driving.

How is the tire pressure? I know this can make the ride harsh, I wouldn't say call the ride is harsh with normal setting.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Hi. I have been following Stinger for a year now. Read and watched pretty much every YT video and review out there. I also "analyzed" this forum (great btw!) to understand what is the frequency of various issues this car can have (road noise, body roll, drive comfort, getting in/out of the car etc). I am coming from BMW which I've driven for the past 7 years (528 & 740i). I am a bit tired of the problems they both are having (google "drivetrain malfunction") but in all honesty I love the ride. I am seriously considering a Stinger and I got some offers in SoCal for 2.0 Premium and GT at about 4.5-5k under MSRP. I know a 20 min testdrive is way too short to realize what will become later the little things that can drive u crazy. So I am asking anybody coming from potentially the 2 cars mentioned above, how does Stinger compare in ride quality. I enjoy driving a lot, and I like "sporty" but only to a point... I appreciate your thoughts.

While having my Stinger's bumper replaced, I drove a BMW 550i XDrive for two weeks. Ride and handling wise, the Stinger is comparable to better. It's not right to compare a V8 TT to a V6 TT, but with my tune on the Stinger I am quicker. The only place the BMW beats the Stinger is with transmission shifting. The BMW was smooth as silk while my Stinger is more like modal cotton.....

If you go with the loaded GT2, you won't miss the BMW for even a second.

I'll check today after work. Literally just got the car 48 hours ago. Just some of my first impressions on the car. Busy debadging, and praying paint doesn't come off. There are 4 paint bubbles on the inside of the passenger door frame. 2 are soft and 1 popped/made a sound with I pressed on it. Note to self: Don't push on paint bubbles anymore. MY2019.
