Any word on the mpg of the stinger and whether it requires premium or regular fuel?

I do know that the fuel requirements are premium recommended, meaning not required. Regular fuel will work fine and will not damage anything. As for MPG, I think I remember reading somewhere like 23 combined on the 3.3? I can't remember for sure and will have to try and find it again. It has a 15.9 gal tank also, for what its worth.

Based on data from other countries it looks like it will be the following:

MPG- City/Hwy/Comb
*The official EPA testing is not complete so that could change.

So best guesstimate (based on the gas tank size) you are looking at a range of ~ 300 miles before the "gas light" comes on.

I forget the figures, but you'll sacrifice a bit of power to the anti-knock gods for running regular, though.

2 red flags with those figures. rwd cant get 25 because the g80 sport gets 25 and the stinger is several hundred pounds lighter.
2nd is how is the awd model getting 24 and not 25 which the 500 pound heavier genesis is getting. doesn't make logical sense

Presumably they are US Gallons? UK Gallon is about 20% bigger and I've seen figures of 28mpg for the V6 and about 35 for the 2.0T.

But a few hundred pounds won't make a lot of difference just maintaining 60mph on a straight flat highway, given similar aerodynamics. I'd expect it to affect the city mpg a bit. Or are all g80 models awd also?

for example the 3 and the 5 series don't have as much as a gap in weight as the genesis but they have a 2 mpg difference which to my eyes means that genesis would be at least 3 mpg different. also no not all g80s are awd.

The g80 and the stinger have different final gear ratios. They will not get the same mileage even if they weighed the exact same.

Weight has a large effect on city mileage because after every stop or slow down you have to accelerate that weight. When cruising at a steady speed on a flat road, weight will have almost no effect on highway mileage. Aerodynamics, frontal area and coefficient of drag, rule highway mileage. A well designed (aerdynamically) car will get better highway mileage than a 200 pound barn door - well, I guess you'd have to add add an engine and wheels to the barn door and that'd increase the weight some.

The G90 3.3T is ~ 200 lbs heavier than the G80 Sport and it gets essentially the same fuel economy in the US.
  • G80 Sport AWD 17/24/20
  • G80 Sport RWD 17/25/20
Here are the fuel economy numbers from Korea* (city/hwy/comb; converted to US MPG):
  • Stinger 3.3T RWD: 18.6 / 24.0 / 20.7
  • Stinger 3.3T AWD: 17.4 / 23.5 / 19.8

I think the only red flag is that the 3.3T gets "not so great" fuel economy. It is worse than pretty much every other turbo six powered sedan. Even the heavier, AWD, 400hp/400tq, Lincoln MKZ with its antiquated 6-speed auto appears to beat the RWD model by 2 mpg on the hwy.

What about the 2.0 liter?
