1000001930.webphello everyone! I had a sad encounter with a deer this morning from what I've been able to tell it's just the panel that's f&*%ed. The door opens enough for me to get in and out and the hood opens fine. I'm going to be getting quotes from a body shop but I was wondering if there's a way to take off just the panel maybe and straighten it out myself ? Any helpful advice is appreciated

Hard to tell at the edge, but it doesn't look like you have obvious creases or paint breaks that would keep a paintless dent removal guy from massaging it back into shape. I don't think it's going to just spring back into place like a dented soda can though...and I doubt you'll have the same luck as the guys who do it for a living.

See what the body shop says first, because a repair that doesn't require a new panel or paint is going to be significantly cheaper than one that does.

That's what I was thinking ! I've got an appointment tonight to have a professional do it and if he can fix it like you said I'm definitely going that route ! Or at least get the dent removed enough to open my door and get ride of the wind whistling sound lol. Might be an excuse to start doing carbon fiber parts

Is the hard line creased? If not, PDR will be the trick solution. Damn deer. I've been spooked a couple of times.

I was told the whole panel would have to be replaced by a few different shops so I'm assuming the hard line is creased. And what is PDR if you don't mind me asking ?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

What we have been talking about, paintless dent removal. You remind me why I loathe acronyms.

Sorry, it's just my first time hearing it ! But yeah, the couple of shops I went to said it wouldn't be possible to do PDR

Paint-less Dent Removal is only for small dents. It can't be near the edge of the panel like yours, as there are folds.

They can do a whole car with hail damage but they can't do a large dent.

You are up for a front LH fender, vent, painting and remove and refit labour. $1500 - $2000

I was able to remove most of the dent and get the door to sit right and open/close without issues. For the price of a new piece painted I'll be going with carbon fiber replacement for both sides. It comes out to a few hundred more, but if I'm going to be spending almost 2 k I might as well get something worth it.
