• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I'm looking to buy soon... have you had positive/negative experience w/local dealer sales/service in the PNW?

Service: Lee Johnson Kia, Kirkland, WA
Sales: Sunset Kia was pretty open for negotiation, Chuck Olson and Renton sales didn't play ball. There's a sales guy from Jerry Smith Kia in our group...cool guy

Thanks... I'm actually just over the river from WA, near Hood River in OR... but shopping the greater NW since supply is so thin and my criteria (colors & options) limit the selection further. I'm finding pricing all over the map... some dealers are adding $5k premiums to sticker price, while others are advertising $2k discounts! Nothing much in the way of manufacturer incentives at this point. I'm not in a rush, & willing to wait out the summer, but I don't see much changing to improve the situation anytime soon.
Any advice or observations on the situation appreciated...

I bought mine from Car Pros Renton Kia. Sales was a typical pain in the ass but got my 2022 under MSRP by a few dollars and got over blue book on my trade in.

The service department prices are typical for a dealer but is always had good experiences with them.

I'm shopping for a new vehicle too for the lady, best case scenario I'm thinking prices will normalize Q2 2022. Worst case scenario, I'm reading that it'll be bad through 2024...
Couple that with the fact that PNW generally doesn't have aggressive deals, unless they're Subies lol. Which is why I ended up driving down to SoCal to pick mine up (granted this was well before the pandemic) for a substantial discount.

BTW...Are these premiums/$2k advertisements on the website? If so, I would just certainly blast out a bunch of emails to sales people across the PNW and see who bites. And just so you know, there's this thread What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

If you're in OR, join "Oregon Stingers Club", us Washingtonians meet up with them once every half moon

Vegas dealers are showing $2k markups with $2k Kia incentives. Considering the markups are self imposed, you can and should simply refuse to pay it and expect the incentive since it's money back direct from Kia. Dealers will do what dealers will do, but if you go into it swinging they usually play ball.

Well, Vegas is a little far afield unless the incentive was exceptional... still crazy around here: $5k markup in Gladstone, dealer discount on 'Specials' plus $1-1.5k Kia 'customer cash' in Salem. Supply is thin though, so not much to choose from. I'm told incoming inventory is backed up on container ships waiting to unload.

I had a good experience buying from Lee Johnson Hyundai in Everett. I'm not sure if it runs in the family, but I'll second the Lee Johnson at this time.

One thing to think about, if you are worried about the dealer trying to impose ridiculous ADMs and tricks, you can usually have a CU negotiate a price for you, that price will usually be better and not included ADMs. If Costco is doing that particular brand during the current cycle, that's basically the same thing. Might be worth it to join a CU just for the service though.

Well, it's official... Kia is now kicking in 'customer cash' on '22 Stingers ($1K on GTL & $1.5K on GT1/2). Not much, but it suggests the cars (few that they are) on lots are not moving. When (if?) more cars show up, maybe dealer discounts will be forthcoming... dealers keep telling me inventory is on the way, but nothing's showed up for the last 30 days, & most of the cars on lots then are still there.

My boy is the GM at car pros Tacoma Tod Vartaneian tell him Rich Jones from San Diego sent you he’ll take good care of you. I bought my 2019 GT2 RWD from him and now my 2023 GT2 AWD from him
