Hey all, I'm looking to pick up the MBRP exhaust for my 18 GT but wanted to make sure there aren't any issues with it before I pull the trigger, or at least if there's something I need to be aware of during install, driving etc. Also can't find them in stock anywhere so if anyone has a place or any ideas when they'll be back in stock it'd be appreciated. Thanks guys!
Have had mine on for coming close to a year. No issues.
Get a friend that is mechanically inclined. If you both are it shouldn’t take more than hour and a half.

Will stock tips fit or are there aftermarket ones that will fit without modifications? All the replacement tips I've seen require you to cut out a bit of the rear bumper to fit and I don't want to do that if I can avoid it.

stock tips are attached to the bumper, the exhaust is separate. the MBRP works fine with that, although you might have some droning. You can install 63mm inlet to 75x105mm oval tips with the finish of your choice after you remove the stock ones.
other than removing the stock tips with a screwdriver and wrench, no modifications were made to my bumper. I can go back to stock if i want.
read through the exhaust tips thread for instructions, links to buy various tips, etc.
I've had my stainless MBRP about 2 months now. No issues at all and I love the exhaust note. It's just aggressive enough..loud when it should be a chill when needed too. I couldn't be happier!

Mine’s a little louder outside the car than I had originally bargained for, but the upshift farts are intoxicating, even at light throttle. I am very happy with it.
Installed mine a couple of weeks ago in my parent's driveway. Be warned if you do it on ramps or jack stands it will be a bit of a pain. I recommend getting a buddy or two to help, and using WD40 on the rubber hangers. Also not sure if this was just an AWD thing, but there was a small crossmember that I had to drop to get the old resonator pipe out. Doing it on a lift would be worlds easier.
As for how it sounds - awesome. WOT is aggressive and satisfying. Each shift multiplies the fun. You will be noticed by others (pro or con). Downshifts sound great and you get some gurgling. When launching there is a noticable and awesome pop at the 1-2 shift. Cold start was not as loud as I expected. At load in low RPM it is very deep and causes some drone at highway speed (I'm using stock tips currently), but it's not too bad. Far more manageable than my old Legacy GT with turbo-back exhaust.
Also the car feels noticeably faster, probably a side effect of the increased volume, but launch seems to throw me back more than before. No other mods on the car.
