A lot of details have been spilled now about the e-GMP platform (such as Hyundai, Kia and Genesis' electric futures ride atop the E-GMP platform). Even more notably, the Stinger's first cousins are being trademarked for BEV treatment (LEAKED: New Genesis EV Model Names Revealed). Anything Stinger related would just be speculation at this point, but I'm wondering if chances are we'll see an all electric Stinger in the next few years? Could be a reason why the updated models aren't expected to have the 3.5 in them.

I would love a fast Stinger EV model geared to faceoff with Tesla, it already looks the part.

An EV "Stinger" would require an entirely new chassis, ergo, it would at best look like a Stinger; everything internally would be new.

Feasibly this is the same issue shared by the Genesis cars.

Kia may think it already has its replacement for the Stinger in its upcoming electric sport crossover (boo!), but if not, could very well be.

The entire Genesis lineup is supposed to get an electric variant, and there have been rumblings that the GV70e uses the e-GMP platform instead of a modified version of the ICE platform.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
