Came across this one today, from the looks of it, the suspension seems to have a better tune than previous versions. Seems more buttoned down and firmer on the track than in previous videos. What do you guys think?
He had some interesting thoughts! Decent video overall, don’t think he confirmed which trim he was driving though. From the comment about the bolsters, it sounds like it might have been a GT2.
It would be great if Kia has actually done some further work on the ECS calibration, as that’s historically one of the car’s biggest weak spots IMO (well, sloppy stock sway bar stiffness also).
The overall body control and relative lack of post-impact motion settling are probably the biggest contributors.
Interestingly, for those with the ECS10, the Mando Sport mode illustrates pretty well that the car is capable of notably better motion settling and overall handling composure. It seems like Kia didn’t want to make the handling ‘too good’ as to maintain their stated ‘GT’ mission and possibly leave room for a more serious version.
It’s interesting that he mentioned the RC F in his track-time comparison as that is what I’m currently in the process of replacing my Stinger with.
On a side note I realized that the 330S is getting the non led tail lights like all North Ameria 2022 Stingers but the Australian GT is getting the led tailight but not sequencial...^ Speaking of, a good review of the 330S.
A bit surprising that they didn't get the new logo and no Stinger script at the rear (at least for the 330S).
This guy doing the review is a rally driver that has competed in the World Rally Championship. He knows how to drive. It is the top spec model sold in Australia with basically all non cold climate options. We don't get AWD but do get LSD.First time I've heard someone say that you can either understeer or oversteer, the choice is yours. Well, I'll be swizzled. I really liked this guy's driving style, hooning, serious lap time pursuit, and talking.![]()
