This is just dumb. I have a Canadian GT AWD. I can remove the AWD fuse but the nannies still take over. Why, Kia, why?

I agree that all could/should have drift mode, although it would be better to have a mechanical LSD as well.

Down here in Australia we're RWD only - so many people are asking for the AWD model. Now I find it funny that you AWD only guys want the RWD action :D

Even big long Cadillacs can drift - backwards . . .

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Makes Jim Rockford look like a weenie. :D Who was that driver? A driving god.

Oh, comments: it's a damned video game. Fooled a lot of us. Heh! FTS!!!

What does drift mode even do? Is it some sort of stability program that allows lateral slip, but prevents the car from completely spinning?

The way it reads is that the Launch Control with D-AWD puts up to 100% of power to the rear wheels when your driving behavior demands it. So when you know what you're doing and push the rear wheels to break free, smoke and spin, 100% of the power is to the rear. I gather that most of the knowledgeable complainers on here who have drifted previous rides will not have anything to complain about the Stinger that has D-AWD.

Not only that but you can happily bounce the car off the rev limiter without the transmission automatically upshifting.

You mean upshifting.

Ummh. Yeah. Sorry about that. :)

My 2018 GT2 AWD does not upshift for me. It will sit at the rev limiter (traction/stability off).

I agree as well, should have been a RWD mode, and LSD. That would have been awesome.

RWD stingers : complain about traction issues and say they need AWD
AWD stingers: complain about the lack of an LSD and say they need a RWD mode for fun
Why not just swap cars for a week? Lol

One could argue to make all Stingers AWD with an LSD and a true drift mode. Think M5
