Alex on Autos: 2018 Kia Stinger GT vs 2018 Infiniti Q30 3.0t Sport

Nice find.

Alex mentions the Stinger is softer than the Q50 and in particular @ 11:21, he mentions the rear suspension "lift" on corners/bumps discussed in the other thread here which again leads me to believe it is by design and not a defect (unfortunately).

Alex said the AWD models have the same size wheels and tires compared to the staggered setup for RWD models. Can someone please confirm if that is true?

Yeah I noticed that too and was gonna comment in his youtube post that he is incorrect.

Staggered for AWD too:
225/40/19 f
255/35/19 r

Unless his press fleet model has the all-seasons: All-Season Tires (P225/45R18)

Nope those were 19s in the vid

How could you tell? I didn't hear him mention details, and I couldn't read anything on the sidewall.
Update: Looks like it says Pilot Sport 4, which is summer-only, so must be the 19s.

Correct they are the Pilot Sport 4s and Alex was also mistaken saying they are all-seasons but they're summers.

look at the wheels , the star cluster wheel cap is the dead give away:)

I'm confused about the wheels and since we're on that topic right here, right now, let me ask. Do the GT style wheels come in both 18" and 19" versions? I thought the GT style was 19" and the non GT was the 18".

Could you elaborate? We do have an option for 18" A/S with "GT style" wheels here, but the KMA website doesn't show a photo. Are you aware of some styling difference between the two sizes of GT style wheels?

Our apologies on the wheel size mix-up, this happens now and then when researching so many cars at the same time.

Wow, AA is on our forum? Sweet!

Your excellent review on the Stinger swayed me enough to trade in my '15 RC F and I also transferred my lease on my '17 IS for it! Consolidate two vehicles into one. Some people think I'm nuts including my wife but brand stigma aside, the Stinger is a superb vehicle - styling, performance and versatility. Hard to beat!

So when are you getting your Stinger? :)

Agreed! Count that as at least one Stinger sale we know made on the account of Alex. I'm sure there will be many more...

I'm a big fan of AoA as well and he definitely influenced my decision to go with Stinger. Keep up the great work Alex!

No way. AonA has some of the best dealer/manufacturer-independent reviews. My only wish is that his vehicle length comparison chart showed actual measurements, in addition to the relative-lengths.

Oh, I hear ya. I was just kidding. I'm sure his great reviews, when they're positive, sell a lot of cars. People do trust his opinion and, of course, that might get muddied if he were getting paid by the manufacturer. But it must be nice to know a lot of people do buy cars because of his great, in-depth reviews...

Precisely. He's trustworthy and focuses on the objective points of the vehicle in detail, although he will lightly state preference on styling but that's understandable and subjective anyway.

Agree with @ralzod on the measurements. AA, add the measurements diagonally beside the car's name as it will better help with the perspective, i.e.
