Do you have this too? Power-wash the car, soap, rinse, dry carefully, and under the mirrors it continues to drip water for at least 30 min.

Yup. I blow dry it too. Impossible to keep from dripping. Just wait 30 min or so and go back out with a detailed and a rag to get it.

Yup. Exactly the same. Use the blower as well.

Never noticed. I hand wash with a bucket of hot water and clean terry cloth towels, then dry with microfiber. So water probably doesn't penetrate to some deeper recesses like a power wash would do.

This happens to me as well. Use a blower after the wash and you will be good.

Yup, I get this too. I use my leaf blower, then dry with a shammy and still get drips. My 2014 Optima SX did this as well.

Yes - I've had it with every car I've owned with power mirrors when I run thru a car wash. Water gets in the space between the mirror and cowling, sits there, and slowly drips out. After washing, I try to get it as dry as possible. Drive, then blow-dry again if you can, or wipe down. I keep a couple of clean micro-fiber towels in the car for this kind of thing.

Yes, it’s a pain. Couple ways you can deal with it

1. Auto fold mirrors in— wrap a 16-24 microfiber towel around it, and this will catch the residual. Allow it to stay wrapped until hours after the car is wiped and dried.

2. Blow out excess water with leaf blower, or wet vacuum

3. Visit Carpro-us.com

They have magnetic magnet strips with microfiber around it. You place them under the mirrors to catch the excess drip.

Yeah, same here. I just wrap one of my drying microfibers around the mirror and tie it of on the top, take them off when I leave the next day. Looks ridiculous, but it works.

.....................or go drive real fast !! bawaaaaaa

Going fast won’t do it. It’s the water inside and behind the mirror

I know. Lol. I knew what you meant
of course I could have meant doing it like Steven Tyler , backwards , which would solve the problem !! Bawaaaaa

But wouldn't that "undo" the wash as well? :P

yea , we are a funny lot here !:laugh::laugh:

I find it's the worst around the front of the hood. Soapy water collects in there and I can't get rid of it, even with a blower, without opening the hood. It's just hard to get it all out. So I'm usually doing spot drying well after i'm done washing the car.
