Does anyone know how to identify whether the headlight is adaptive or non-adaptive by just looking at the outside? I am finding that a lot of eBay sellers are just stating the light is adaptive but I don’t have the part number to confirm it. The adaptive lights part number ends in J5220 and the part number on the housing ends at J5 and they omit the 5220. Is there any distinguishing traits on the outside on the housing or casing that the adaptive lights have that the non-adaptive lights don’t have or vise versa? I am trying to avoid a purchase that doesn’t work.

Im not sure what years specific models had adaptive headlights. Dealer told me my 2018 gt1 had them but they also said it was a DCT and LSD rear but those were both false.

Depends on your country I think. Here in the people's republic of America the FHA just accepted, in principle, adaptive headlights. I don't have any knowledge of a single car being sold here that has them....yet.

I have a 2020 and the vin number calls for adaptive. I've checked the options for the gt2 and most of them have adaptive lights. :I can't get any eBay seller to confirm the vehicle model the lights were removed from, the vin number, or part number.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I have figured out how to tell. Open the cap and move the projector side to side. If it moves it’s adaptive. If it doesn’t it’s not. Learned that from an eBay seller.

Sorry my last question was incomplete.
I meant to ask how do you use the vin number to check for options?
