Hey everyone like an idiot I accidentally purchased a the FSPE carbon fiber front lip for my Stinger only to find out that it's meant for GT models only.

I have a 2019 Premium, and I'm assuming it won't fit my vehicle. They make these splitters per order, and I ordered on october 8th, although it still hasn't been shipped.

I am hoping the only problem is the bolt on application to the vehicle. I'm sure I can find a way to attach this to my car, as long as the fitment is the same.

My question for you guys is if you know if the bumper is the same on GT models, as the Premium trim. (I never noticed a difference between the bumpers of the different types of trims) If anybody knows whether fitment will be be an issue, please let me know. I appreciate it very much

for a long time I assumed that the 2.0l trims front bumper cover was different as far as attachment alignment. but last year a forum member showed pictures of his gt repaired with a 2.0l trim front bumper cover. he had it painted red and installed before he was even aware of the unintentional mistake.

I just checked for any differences between the gt and premium. and other than attachment clips at the extreme ends of the gt lip - not present on the premium lip for some unexplained reason - they look exactly the same to me. thanks for getting me to look, because I just noticed a missing undercarriage panel clip on my premium and snapped a spare one I had into place.

I appreciate the response, after further investigation the K8Stinger lists the item as compatible with “2018-2023 Kia Stinger (GT Models Only), 2020-2023 Kia Stinger (GT Line Only)” and the FPSE website lists as “Fitment: 2018-2022 w/ OEM bumper (must be a GT model”.

This is very inconsistent and they don’t specify what GT means, does this mean GT-Line models, or GT1-2 models.

'gt by itself means the 3.3l trims. gt-line is 2.0l and 2.5l. dimensionally, I think that the lips are the same. any differences would be in the attachment points. you did say that you could 'find a way to attach this' if it's the same size and shape. this is unexplored territory.

Just confirming it did work had a drill some holes of my own took like an hour

cool. I love happy endings. I also like being right and wanted confirmation that the outer dimensions of the lips on 2.0l and 3.3l are the same.

One of the biggest differences in the front bumpers is the sharpness of the 2 "points". The base/premium are more rounded. My 18 does not have the same bumper vents or fender vents as the gt's either.
The gt lips will fit without issue on the premium but the 2 points dont necessarily line up 100%. Something most will never even notice. Unfortunately my brain cant get past it for my car. My car alone! Every 2.0 ive seen with a fromt lip on it looks awesome and every time after i reconsider buying one.

Dude that grill!! Where did you pick that up?

And hell yes the lip looks great!! I do like it. No winglets too, which i like.

You on Instagram?
The surrounding bit of the grill is just a carbon fiber stick on I got from amazon for $200 I believe. The rest of the grill is stock. My instagram is @7194_ethan
