Passenger front is experiencing accelerated brake pad wear compared to the driver's front. So much that the dust build-up is extremely noticeable in comparison and the pad is worn down a full 1/4 inch more. Passenger rotor also has some minor scoring, driver's side does not. Car only has 25,000 miles. No shake, no pulling to one side.

I know this can be a number of things, usually a sticking caliper....either with the pistons or the slides.

Curious if anyone else had this issue and if Kia would cover this issue under warranty, or try to skate out by saying it lands under normal wear/tear.

a failure of the caliper to disengage, or anything mechanical that causes premature / uneven pad wear should absolutely be covered. that is not normal.

Hey I'm Tony Danza!

Like others have mentioned, the factory brembo pads are known to cause issues. If you'd like a set of good quality aftermarket pads, shoot us an email to Sales@K8StingerStore.com and we will get you setup! I rock our ceramic pads and they work fantastic!

Thanks everyone! I agree the factory pads aren't exactly top shelf and would drop the coin in an instant if KIA doesn't cover anything under warranty. I can't remember the last time I had a dealer work on a car and dread bringing it in even for something as simple as this. Crossing the fingers it will be painless.
