A special Porsche

Ran into this guy as we entered highway with lots of traffic free space ahead of us. He honked on it. Rear end sqwatted and big wooosh! Surprisingly though he only walked me. Well maybe brisk walk but only put a couple car lengths on me .

Big red Kia didn’t shrink in his rear view mirror too badly.

Ok let’s see what kind of car enthusiasts we have. What model Porsche is this? I know . It’s likely worth north of a Million.

Yep. A handful are driven on streets in US . This one was probably being tested out of Canepa. Took exit to where his shop is located. They make over 500 hp with Canepa turbo upgrades. It was a super car way ahead of its time. Essentially an AWD race car for the street.

Here is article way back in 2003 where federalized cars were $425K. At Long Last: Federalizing the Porsche 959 has been a long road. Now, at least, it can be traversed

I also believe that's a 959.
If I'm not mistaken, Bill Gates has one (it wasn't street legal at the time of purchase).

Hey who knows it may have been Bruce driving into work!

If you guys are ever in Santa Cruz Area worth a trip to his shop and museum. They have cars and coffee in Sept where they open up shop and tons of cool cars show up. Maybe we should have a Stinger drive over there in Sept for SF Bay Area Stinger owners.
