A New Look

I've been playing around with a little bit of a new look for the stock components of my wheels. Just wondering which one to go with. It is completely reversible and pretty much free to do. The stock wheel cap or the centre section only. The lug nuts are chrome plated so they look nice when exposed and the centre of the wheel cap can be removed and all you need to do is make a small bracket to screw through from the inside of the wheel.

I'm undecided if it looks unfinished without the wheel cap. I'm also undecided if the plastic cap sometimes looks a little cheap. Also I have a lot of time on my hands and I'm a little bored.....LOL!

I guess my feeling was after 2 years of having the same looking wheel and then taking the cap off it feels like something is missing. I like the exposed lug nuts look better than covering them up

Personally I like them covered on this wheel style/colour, as the chrome doesn't match anything on the car, if they where dark chrome, or black it would probably be better

Just pop off the plastic wheel cover and BAM!

Did something similar. Makes the wheels a bit more concave looking too.

I removed the centre from the original wheel caps and attached them to the wheel with some aluminum flat bar. I cut them and drilled the holes and used a couple of wood screws to attach it to the clip I made. Don't turn it too tight or you might strip out the threads of the centre cap because it's just plastic. I was going to use some loc-tite but it said not to use on plastic. Just check them every once in a while to see if they are coming loose.

You were going to use "thread locker"?
or Loctitte brand general purpose CA glue like Loctitte 495

also, nice use of Canadian screws on your custom clip.
