With all the talk about KIA discontinuing the Stinger there's a lot to be said. Yes it would be a sad thing to happen (if it actually does) but on the other hand as it stands right now the Stinger has great street presence because there really aren't that many out there for example the first one I ever saw in person was the one I own and I've only seen one other since then and it was at a local truck stop where the guy was just passing through and stopped to get gas. I own the only Stinger of any trim in three counties! And because of all the ahhs and " that's a sharp car! what is it?" that I get everywhere I go to me is bragging rights because I've got something everyone likes but almost nobody has, not to mention how the car makes me feel everytime I get in it! Yes KIA axing the car would be bullshit but it would also put us owners into a very small and exclusive group. but that's just my observation and opinion. Any thoughts? I'm just curious if I'm the only one that feels this way. Have a great day owners and remember it may not seem like it to some but you've got a very special ride for a host of reasons ENJOY

Man, there's like 48 threads about this already. Forty-eight!

Sorry to be that guy but it seems like using descriptive subject lines (e.g., "Stinger to be cancelled? Discuss") would help keep these from continuing to pop up. Most of these have pretty ambiguous subjects.

At this point, it might even benefit from a sticky. It's understandable that not everyone has time to keep up with all recent posts.

I think a sticky would be smart, but I doubt it will come before Kia makes the official announcement. Even then, stickies are one of the most ignored things on the interwebs, second only to "I have read and agree with the terms of service."

Thanks, how about throwing me a party in this thread! Let's get some use out of this bandwidth! ;)
Thanks I'll pass, but hey don't let me stop you, wear it out im sure you'll do just fine on your own, have fun

I think your keyboard is sticky.

Over and over and over again: "the Korean Car Blog" keeps the rumor kicking around. Kia won't dispel it anytime soon (just like previously) because the rumor mill is free advertising.

I feel ambivalent about the Stinger being terminated anytime in the next two to three years. After that, I expect to feel okay with it: the Stinger's long, only-generation run will have fully served the purpose of the car's creation: to bolster Kia's rep and advertise what came after the Stinger. The Stinger has already accomplished that. One of the reasons why the Telluride sells so well in a highly competitive SUV market is because of the Stinger: it gave everyone a heads up on Kia's new level of accomplishment. A couple or a few more years (2024, as original announced) of Stinger production will cement that reputation and assure any Stinger owners of a healthy support program and aftermarket options for many years.

The Telluride is a nice vehicle that gives the buyer their money's worth, I test drove one and came damn close to buying it and I probably would have if my kids were still growing up and at home but they aren't and I got rid of my mouthpiece (wife) long ago! Guess I was having a mid life crisis and got the stinger lol I couldn't be happier with my choice!
