Very true. The Alcantara armrests are great for bragging rights and impressing your Toyota friends. Otherwise, they are an expensive add-on that requires disassembly. How well do they wear? This is just a cover, available in fleece or neoprene, that you can wash and dry as required. A few seconds to install or remove. Nothing fancy, nothing to be a snob about... just a very functional cover at a fair price. I bought one in Black and I think it's great.

Ok, I think I understand your purpose in getting this now. In my experience real alcantera does not wear well at all.

Exactly, Alcantara doesn't, so why pay $120+. I have used homemade covers for years in my F250 and F350 and to have a custom fit one for my Stinger was a clear win.

Why are you expecting the OE center console upholstery to wear out? It looks pretty tough to me and I like how it looks.
