  • Is there a way to permanently turn off the auto start stop cycle button near the parking sensor button? It always resets
  • Is there a cheap alternative for some paddle shifter extenders that can just be 3m taped on? The stock ones are way too small... All the ones online are replacements that I have seen and are all $100+
  • Did anyone notice slight wobbling sound upon first month or two when driving the car? (I have a GT1 AWD) When I go over 60 there seems to be some very faint wobbling noise from the front. New tire sound orrr? I have only 200miles at the moment...
  • Sometimes my side mirrors tilt down and sometimes they don't when I go in reverse. Is there a reason behind this or maybe I turned something off by accident?
  • Where can I see tire pressures? Old car had sensor readout on the dash

Thanks!

I'll see if I can answer two of your questions:
  • Is there a way to permanently turn off the auto start stop cycle button near the parking sensor button? It always resets No. You could get around it by putting it in manual mode, but that's about it. Yeah, it's my only pain point since owning my Stinger.
  • Where can I see tire pressures? Old car had sensor readout on the dash It is still on the dash. On the steering wheel, there's a what appears to be a pages or display icon. Get to the Information mode on the cluster, and from there, you can cycle to the tire pressure indicator.

  • Sometimes my side mirrors tilt down and sometimes they don't when I go in reverse. Is there a reason behind this or maybe I turned something off by accident? Generally that means the mirror selector button on the driver's door is not in the correct position
  • Where can I see tire pressures? Old car had sensor readout on the dash Cycle through the displays using the document button on the right side of the steering wheel.

The folded/auto/unfolded switch (front one) needs to be in Auto AND
The driver / / passenger selector switch (second from front), for which one to adjust needs to be in either driver or passenger, but not in center.
With both these switches set, the mirrors should tilt down when Reverse mode.

The search for stuff available to the LCD display includes pressing the upper button 'page', pressing the center button up, in, or down, and pressing the lower button 'item' switch. I don't know how to describe the illogical sequence required to go through every possible combination. Maybe a project for a rainy Sunday afternoon and just go through all the possible sequences and write down the paths to get to a particular item.

Welcome!
ISG can be bypassed by putting the car into manual gate; but the next time you move it to auto the ISG will work again. Just use the button to turn it off. There is a thread about how to disassemble the center console and wedge the ISG button into a permanent OFF position  but that is just crazy stuff, imho.

TPMS readout is the next selection after the LCD compass.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Or simply press the button down and use a guitar pick wedged to keep the button down.
No more ISG/No issues.

How does the keyless entry work for the Stinger? Will it unlock all of the doors if you simply put your hand on the handle?

You have to push the button on the handle, one press for driver door only, 2 presses for all doors. From the passenger side one press opens all doors.

On my 2018 (US) GT2, 1 press on driver's door button unlocks it. 2 presses on driver's door button relocks it. 3 presses on driver's door button unlocks all doors. Passenger door, 1 press unlocks all doors like above. I haven't tried other settings in the convenience section. There may be a setting that makes it like MrSmoofy's (which I would really prefer).

yours does work like smoofys, but you have to press 2 times consecutively not after it unlocks.

That's interesting about the door locks. In AUS a single press on either door button will unlock all doors.

Very interesting that you have to keep it on L or R when you want it to be automatic...

I might have to look into having a guitar pick or similar to hold that auto button down in place, either that or I gotta make it a habit...

Just saw my pressures last drive, did not know the tires are around 50+ psi!

Anyone else found some tape-on method for paddle extenders? I am still trying to find some universal paddles to just stick behind the current ones to help a bit with the size discrepancy.

Also is there a way to lock the doors while the car being on and outside of the vehicle? It has an obnoxious beep when i try it...

Wow and don’t drive like that. Max tire pressure is 50psi and it’s labeled right on the side of the tires. Tires should be no more than 36psi cold, as listed on the door frame info label.

And I hope you’re kidding about a “tape-on method for paddle extenders”. First, that won’t work and may break the OEM paddles unless they are stiff, solid and attached firmly together. Second, legitimate and sturdy aluminum paddle extensions are only $99 and worth every penny.Kia Stinger Aluminum Paddle Shifter Extensions
Don’t go with something unproven & cheap or you’ll regret it.

I have to admit, you have some very unusual requests... Why would you want to lock the car while it’s running and you’re not in it??? If your leaving the car, you shouldnt leave it running. Just turn it off.

And it’s beeping to warn you that you forgot to turn the car off or to prevent you from locking your keys in the car.

I believe this is configuration setting in your dash info screen.

There is a post on here about a guy using maybe an Arduino or raspberry pi to control the ISG there is also a part you can purchase online I saw for $67 that will remember the last setting. Also saw one to remember the last setting of your seat ventilation as long as you have heated and cooled seats.

Also is there a way to lock the doors while the car being on and outside of the vehicle? It has an obnoxious beep when i try it...

Was the key fob in the car when you tried to lock it? If you get out of the car while it's running and close the door you will get a long tone letting you know. If your keyfob is in the car it will not let you lock the car.

The issue with this is that the tape will almost certainly fail due to the uneven pressures you exert on the extension. Cheap isn't a good option here.

That possibly explains your noise. Get those pressures down to what the tyre placard recommends. And call your dealership to ask them WTF. If you paid a dealer delivery charge, ask them what else they screwed up/missed, and perhaps demand some sort of refund or compensation. You can always have your car serviced elsewhere...

All that said - seriously kids. You should be checking tyre pressures at least once a month, and ideally every time you fill up with fuel. Same as you
should be checking fluid levels (oil, water, etc). Cars are complex mechanical devices, and there's a base level of checking that you should be doing regularly to maintain them (and to protect your investment).

Ugh, this is what I get for trusting the dealership then I guess. Maybe they forgot to depressurize them because it was a new off of the trailer vehicle? (Had plastics and such)... Anyway I just changed them to 38 fronts 36 rears as it states in placard....I do not see any damage so far on them hopefully I am good to drive...

@StungBlueGT2
Interesting, it came like that from the dealership so I just relieved it down to 38-36

This idea is based on my previous car being able to lock while its running. There are a lot of instances which I would like to do this (quick errands/showing the car to people, etc) so I dont see it as a unusual request myself yet hey if you think differently I cant change you.

Every car they sell needs the same things done. They get paid to do it. "Forgot" isn't a good enough excuse - they sure as hell didn't forget to make a profit on the sale.

I'm confident there is a checklist the dealer technicians ignored...
