First: I like the stinger, still. It's a comfy car to do your kilometers in, it has the gadgetery I need to keep my nerd needs fulfilled etc. My rear hatch door does not rattle or do other weird things. All in all, great car so far. not going into the positives here, wrote enough on that :P

But I do have a few (sometimes personal or cosmetic) remarks on the Stinger. Many are not surprises, I knew them when I bought the car ... it's just things to consider.

- Something is with the leather. It's lovely comfy and soft and seems to be decent .. but dent it once with a sharper edge and it seems to stay that way. Like the rear middle armrest, hitting the belt locks. Otherwise I like the leather.

- Seat cooling seems a bit irregular. Sometimes I get proper air, sometimes it seems not to really work ... I wonder if I sometimes block a tunnel below by just sitting and sometimes not? Or maybe I'm seeing things. But I do mean wearin the same pants etc.

- One of my seat cool/heat switches went bad real fast. No proper click anymore, just spongy. Had it replaced, not iwt's fine. I hope that was a random unlucky thing.

- I wish I could not have the sunroof in Switzerland. I thickens the roof like all sunroofs and that's a bugger with my 6.3" height .. I'm reeeeeal close to the roof. it's not that it is bad, I just don't need it really.

- The rear windows not closing/opening on a single touch is .. pff .. was that necessary? not that I need it often, but still.

- The trunks floor is a lose, cheap looking affair. The flimsy cover is just supported by the styofoam below, which makes dangerous sounds when I sit into the trunk to work on something. Make this fit better and put some decent plastic supports below etc.

- Where is the 12V connector in the trunk? I had to retrofit one, which now conveniently and invisibly is next to the lights on the right side.

- I have to figure out the unlocking mechanisms .. sometimes, I walk to the car, the mirrors swing out and I can just open it .. sometimes I need to press the button. Did I forget to lock it last time? I'm confused.

- I want no distance control in my tempomat. It annoys me to have to hold the distance button for a few seconds every time. I want this as an option in a menu.

- Same goes for start/stop. Annoying to have to disable it everytime.

- I could live with just two beeps on the automatic trunk opening

- I'd prefer a flat level trunk exit. Why do cars raise it? Stability? Design?

- The round air exit deisng looks nice .. but I can't toally get rid of cold air going my way witht he round middle ones .. the air reflects off the walls they're sunk into when you direct the opening away from you. Mild annoyance.

- No telephony button on the center console .. wat? Used my star button for it .. so .. mild problem.

- Frontarmrest a bit "thin" .. starts to creak scarily/cheaply when you apply some weight

- Armrest compartment should be aircooled .. just needs a hole from the tube below going backward anyway. Also: A USB port inside the compartment can be cool for some stuff.

That's it so far. Let's say it again: I love the car so far and would buy it again :)

Would love to hear other owners' experience with these issues, maybe even some fixes/workarounds.

Well I wish I had a bigger garage so I could buy a Stinger in every colour so I could drive a different colour one every day of the week! That’s more than 7 I think....lol
I asked the wife but she said no...bummer! :)

I can see some of @voon 's comments. I guess I'm a bit more forgiving. The napa leather is soft, but that's the trade-off for durability. The leather on my G8 and GTO was "hard" surfaced leather and it wore like iron, but it wasn't soft. The hard leather is also more slippery and doesn't plant your butt as well on spirited driving.

No problem here on seat cooling or switches anywhere. I don't use the cooling very often because I don't leave my car in the sun if I can avoid it. I will use the heated seats when weather here gets colder.

Sunroof hasn't been a problem with me. I'm 6'4" and although I'm close to the headliner, I have never touched it while driving after seat adjustment. I never have the sunroof open in the summer, but I like having the shade back in the winter which helps keep the car warmer on cold days and provides nice light inside.

I seldom have rear seat passengers, so the rear window switches are a non-issue for me. When there is someone back there, the windows are closed anyway.

No comment on the trunk floor. I don't get back there, just throw luggage and groceries there, and they don't care. Never noticed a problem.

No need for a 12V connector in my trunk. No comment.

Unlock has been according to the manual on mine. No complaint. The mirrors will swing out when you approach the door but you have to either unlock the door with the fob, or press the little button on the handle. Only the rear hatch (GT2 only) opens without hands. Must have forgotten to lock the car, @voon. :)

I agree with the cruise (tempomat.) I almost never use the distance function because I don't often drive in heavy traffic (lucky me.) I often forget to disable the distance feature when turning the cruise control on so a permanent off setting would be nice but it's no big deal. Same with the start/stop, but I can avoid that with light brake pedal pressure when stopped if I forget to turn it off. I agree, an off setting on startup would be nice.

Trunk beeps 3 times to open, 2 to close. Never gave it a thought. Maybe a program setting like the turn signals could be added?

The trunk is rather unique in the Stinger with the battery back there, the spare (my G8 had a can of air and sealant, no spare) and with the big hatch, I suspect the structural integrity is shared between the hatch and body at that point. @voon is probably right about why it's the way it is. Much better than many cars, however.

I like the round vents. You can turn air off by changing the output mode.

Rarely use my phone in the car. To much fun driving. ;) Touch screen access, anyway....

I guess my arm isn't as heavy as @voon 's arm. Hadn't noticed any creaking.

I agree that it's a fantastic car. Mine at 10,000 miles is, so far, perfect. No paint problems, nothing. Love it. :p

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
These lists of "things put on notice" are fun. I haven't noticed a single one of @voon 's negatives. Some of them are options on the GT1 (or standard on the GT2), so I won't have them yay or nay.

I have well over 8K miles so far and everything is perfect. Maybe I'm just easy to please. For sure I don't have any other new cars to compare to. So my Stinger is like a gift from paradise. "Here, enjoy a bit of how life is around here, my son." Hah! :D
