Everyone please bear with me, I've searched but couldn't find a clear enough answer.

What is the widest tire (front and back) you can install on a AWD Stinger GT2 with the stock staggered 19" wheels?

I live in NoVA, how do summer tires fare in the winters around here? I just wanna know if I can run them year round, or if I should go to all season tires.

How do the Pilot Sport All Season 4 compare to the Pilot Sport 4 tires that come stock with the Stinger?

Anyone who has gone from a staggered setup to a non staggered, how has that transition been? Any cons?

Thanks.

I think that you didn't dig deep enough on the numerous tire threads.

I read everything that comes along vis-a-vis tires, wheels, brakes. Just from my reading I can tell you that narrower tires work best in winter conditions; A/S will not remotely compare to a dedicated snow tire on a snow-packed surface; summer, high performance tires are compromised below 40F (but they are not a death sentence even at freezing if you appreciate the reduced gription and drive accordingly); recommended tire widths on an 8" wheel range between 215 and 245; on an 8.5" wheel the range is 225 to 255: but of course, you can go wider than this and many on the forum do just that. The only issue is clearance in front. Many also run square in the winter and return to staggered in the summer: again, clearance. But if you run an OE 8" wheel (18" or 19") square you'll be fine; spacers are required in front if you run 8.5" wide square.

"No Season" tires will never compare to high performance summer tires. I have UHP A/S on during the winter and gription is not comparable to the PS4(S): unless the outside temperature is below 40F; the colder it gets, the better the A/S grips compared to the summer rubber.

Couldn’t have said it better! To add I I live in Maryland and I drove around on the stock 19”s with the Michelin PS4 (summers) all last winter without issue but I also have Awd. We also didn’t get much snow in my area and I have a beater 4x4 for really bad weather.

I think because you have Awd too you should be fine but I wouldn’t plan on driving it to work if we’re expecting a couple inches of snow lol.

I am not sure where exactly you are located however, I will say this as someone that lives out by Dulles and know the temps are chillier the further west you go. The temperature out here can be between 5-12 degree different than DC and MD. If you are using the Stinger as your only car, get some really good AS tires if you don't want to go with a winter set. You might be fine on those days when it is dry but if it gets real cold and you have some sort of precipitation, you might find your self stuck or worse. My buddy didn't change his tires but he also has a Jeep that he uses when the weather calls for rain, sleet or snow. Last year wasn't as bad as in the past but we know this can change this year and all it takes is one surprise weather system to throw things out of whack.

Summer tires suck. They will not last at all. I switched to an UHP all season Continental tire in order to get at least 30-35 K miles.
