Hello everyone,

with summer coming to an end, I feel that my air conditioner is less powerful.
I borrowed an empty air conditioner refill from a friend just to use the manometer and indeed I'm a little short.

i bought this product on amazon:

But when I try to connect the hose, I can't clip it on.
i'd like to know if the low-pressure nozzle is special or if i really have to drill to clip it on.
I know that air-conditioning hoses are sensitive, so I'd rather be careful before forcing.

Thanks for your feedback!

The Stinger uses R1234yf, not R134a - check the label under the hood.
If it's low then something is leaking and that needs to be found and fixed. A/C systems are very (very) well sealed and should run 10 to 20 years without any "maintenance".
Charging with those little low side cans is not a great idea. Both high and low need to be monitored, and charge is done by weight - not pressure. The pressure on the low and high side will vary A LOT depending on A LOT of conditions (ambient temp, cabin temp, humidity, engine RPM, fan speed, demand commanded by the ECU, etc). Just shooting some gas in there is the quick way to over-fill the system and then cause real damage to the compressor.

ok thanks for the information,

i just wanted to do by myself but i know someone withe the refill machine and a leak detector.

i'll also check if the drain is still doing is job corretly. i know sometinme the drain does not empty properly and then affect the efficiency of the AC

what did you figure out??

Hoping someone here can help—I'm trying to recharge the A/C on my 2019 Kia Stinger GTS, which is blowing hot air (and with temps averaging 95°, it's brutal out here).

EDIT: I figured it out lol
