7 year service - Intercooler gaskets?!

Hi,

Got quoted for 7 (84 month) year service :

Sparkplugs
Oil / filter
Inspection intercooler IN /OUT + air intakes - What's the story here? They want to change Throttle body and Surge tank Gaskets? Why is this even necessary? Prevention work for future leaks? Kia sucking some money out via service?

Has anyone done the 84 months service yet?

Just tell them to adhere to the service manual normal maintenance schedule listed in your owners manual. I’ve done that for decades with no problems with warranty claims. Just remember that the service department is the real money maker for the dealership so they’ll recommend all kinds of crap to make money off of you. Just my 2 cents worth of advice. By decades I mean I’m an old fart that’s be around the block a few times.
