6412 Mustangs sold in Australia 2018

Read today's 01-FEB-2019 Herald-Sun Car Guide, the article states that 6412 Ford Mustangs were sold in Australia in 2018, the 5.0 litre V8 is more popular at AUD $62,990, Ford's runaway sales might be good for the company, but not if i just bought one, and see them frequently, I love my Stinger more everyday, because I rarely see another on the road, and still a head turner, i'm sure the resale value of a Mustang would take more of a beating, due to the amount out on the road, and the amount selling as used.
Anyone know how many Stingers sold in Australia in 2018 ?

Hardly scientific but on a recent 7 hour drive to Rockhampton I saw 7 Mustangs and 1 Stinger.

You might want to rethink your philosophy on the resale value

According to Wheels magazine the Mustang will have 60% resale after 3 years and the Stinger 40%

I guess it comes down to the fact that a Mustang is an iconic build and hence why more are sold than the Stinger. At resale time there will be more people after the Mustang and popular cars will always hold their value. Unfortunately I wouldn't class the Stinger as anything a future buyer would clamber over to get hence Wheels magazine's poor resale value estimate

With approx. 6400 Mustang sales vs 2000 Stinger sales per year I don't think the Stinger is on the agenda of the buying public no matter what each Stinger owner might think

I doubt it would be as good as the Stinger and from what Iv'e read the interior of the car is pretty plain.
If money was no option I would chose a Nissan GTR over a Mustang.

They have gone from a pathetic 2 Star ANCAP rating & now with improvements the 2018 has now achieved a mind boggling 3 Star ANCAP rating, the Stinger achieved 5 Stars so we are all safer for the driving experience.
