Saw this in the Korean forum yesterday but waited to post till the shop did and it just came up on FB. A g70, in a stock housing turbo with upgraded turbines just put out 530whp. Dunno how i feel about this compared to a full turbo upgrade.. just food for thought i guess.

Disappointing result (there is more to the story also which I've been asked not to share) but they hopefully can improve the performance on those.

Apparently I've misquoted as well. Not stock with turbines upgraded but full drop ins. My mistake.

I'm curious as to see how far it goes. May have a lot of people interested for sure.

I think the PS2 turbos made around 560whp on a dynojet before the trans went. Not sure what happened to the project after that.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Is the assumption that the trans is the first weakest link and 560whp is the limit? Or do we know of other possible reasons for it failing?

Still unknown at this point. It's not the first trans to have failed and most of those I've heard of failing are with larger turbos. I'd bet on it being a trend but until more data comes out we can only speculate.

He was also doing a lot of brake snip launches which increases abuse and heat.
