Purchased jan 2018 and daily / everything car for my wife and I. When the stinger was released it was a sidewinder that broke my stigma with new cars. I was out to a vet that took 2 and a half hours to work, so i took my wife to see a 'possible family car' for us. We have an 11 month old and plan on another so something i actually like to drive with space was the goal. The stinger was on my rader for the platform. Front engine 6 cylender twin turbo rwd (went awd and no issues here) it was the bannger of the early 2000s with mordern everthing else. Long story short at the 6500 or so mark it was dragged and aquired a 13.006 at 106 and i was happy. Tial bov came in around mile 15000. Aem intakes came at 35000. Check engine lights were prevalent between 10k and 40k and were always plug related aka missfire cylender 2 or 6. Hks plugs gapped ay .28 fixed my issue and produced a noticeably smoother pull into boost. As the previous plugs were fouled by now. All said and done my pearl white baby has given me no issues aside from eatting some tires. Lots of weight really rounds the fronts with spirited driving.

If you've made it this far i ran out of things to talk about. If you or a friend had any weird ghost issues likey plugs leave a short story on how you fixed it. Or if you need advice and ill try to lend a mind. ✌

Just about to hit 41k. Mostly highway miles, no engine mods besides a catch can. No issues so far either.
Im almost certain this Hyundai engine is well over engeneired for stock hp ^_^

This stood out. The cloverleaf eats away at the outer edge of the FL tire. I'm running with higher psi on this second set of tires to see if that helps at all; still had quite a bit of center tread left, and it annoyed me to scrub off that much outer edge tread faster like that.

One reason I don't like or want summer tires. I don't drive aggressively enough to "need" them, and I don't like expensive tires that erase themselves so fast. That was actually a factor in my choosing the 2.0t.

So what psi are you running?

same happened to my first set of tires at the recommended 36 PSI. Second set has slight outside wear after 6000 miles on the fronts also. I think bumping it up a couple of psi is a good idea. maybe I'll run 39R 38F

about to hit 40k miles on mine and no issues so far. Regular oil changes at 4k miles religiously, replaced with Pennzoil Ultra platinum 5w-30.

Mods include Sxth element dual catch cans, JT intakes, Tubi Style catback, JT intercooler, Tial BOV.

I run 40 psi cold all four corners. Running temperatures go to the mid 40s psi. A long spell at speed on the freeway in the summer can see 48 psi. We'll just have to see. Nothing to report, yet.

I run cold** 37psi fronts and 34psi rears and look for 38 to 40 front and 36 to 38 rear but i always ran low pressures on any car i daily. Always looking for that extra traction when i need it.

Reasoning behind my psi, the presure i got all the time stayed around 42 front 40 rear and it seemed to stiff for the sidewall on those sport tires. My first set was always pressurised to the oem recomended levels and they wore the center out over 20k miles. Luckly the edges on the front were chewed anyway so new tires it is. But yeah driving style and road conditions are ultimately the decider of tires.

I cant belive i proof read and missed that kf lol
With acronym madness destroying the Mother Tongue, I just assumed you had used an acronym, I didn't get it, but it didn't change the gist of what you were saying. Hah.

I thought it you over inflated the tyres the centres will wear out and if you under inflate the tyres both the inner and outer sides of the tyre will wear out.

If just the outer or inner sides wears out, then that's a camber issue.

Maybe someone else can confirm that?
