Thanks , that was an interesting article , what are the key differences in driving conditions in Australia ? I've always been impressed that Aus gets "custom" tuning for the driving conditions , or is it driver expectation as well ?

Biggest trouble in Australia is overheating the intercooler and radiator. Kangaroo hair gets caught in the mesh and acts as a blanket, raising temperatures.

Yes australia custom tuned. No kangaroos here they all got hit by trucks and are road kill! Lol

I can only think it's mainly driver expectation they tune for. Australians won't buy a slushmobile and a car with grunt must handle to match like the ubiquitous V8 locally produced performance cars now RIP. The roads themselves can be unkind to cars built for freeway cruising and can wreck vehicles in the outback. They gotta be beefed up. Luckily NZ gets the same car and our roads are worse than anything I've seen in Australia or North America. The result of Australian tuning always is a better car all round.
