Hey everyone,

I've got the oil pressure light coming on at idle - oil is full and clean and car has continued to run great... everything in my own knowledge, and everything I can find online about the subject points to a likely failed oil pressure sensor.

So, I've gotten the parts I need, got to work... pulled the fuel rails out tonight and 4 of the 6 injectors came out with the rails... I was really praying they all popped out with the rails

OF COURSE one of the two injectors that is stuck is the one directly blocking the oil pressure sensor. I've been wiggling it, gently prying at it, sprayed it up with penetrant right at the base where it goes into the head hoping it'll soak down... it wiggles a little bit, but seems really stuck in there. I decided to put everything down and walk away for a bit so Im not tempted to keep trying, just let it soak.

Anyone do this job, or just plain fought with a stuck DI injector before? This is my first time working on a DI injector, and Im pretty nervous about breaking it off in the head.

Any help is appreciated!

I am no help with this problem, but will be watching closely your progress, since i am planning to do exactly the same in near future.

I don't know the specifics of the Kia/Hyundai injector, and my go-to on YouTube for teardowns, I Do Cars, doesn't appear to have pulled injectors from a Lambda II. Usually there's a unique slide hammer tool. Maybe you can cobble something together with a vise grip slide hammer? Preferably without destroying the top of the injector?

Proceed with extreme caution.

What about the seal? From what little I paid attention when DI was new, it was normal to have to replace and size the teflon seals.

and yeah teflon seals were intimidating cause it seems like there's a lot you need to get right, but ended up not being so bad.

It's funny cause Im a big fan of I Do Cars, and the very second that thing was stuck I was like... damn it I Do Cars always has this nice mini slide hammer that threads in... what does he do in this situation haha.

But unfortunately there's no threads on these injectors like a diesel one.. I just twisted them around with lube for awhile till they loosened up, and a good prybar got em out

Thanks for update!! So, were you able to reuse those stuck injectors?
