My name is BJ , new to the forum discussions, but trying to find some more information on the Stinger.

I bought a 21 at the end of 20, gt1 v6, changed the down pipes, exhaust and cold air intake. Never had any issues loved the car. The dealership I purchased it from, got ahold of me and offered me more than I owed 9 months later, and I traded on the 2022.

I was willing to upgrade to the 2022 for the remote start and so I could get a more attainable color to maintain, as well as the sun roof. The dealer I purchased the car from said the mechanical components of the 2 were the same, so I swapped all of my a/m pieces.

My new car has 5600 miles on it, and the turbos have continued to go into limp mode multiple times, and would reset on restart. At 900 miles the remote start stopped working. I took it to the local dealer to have both issues addressed, and the remote start they said there was a code in the BCM, but did not have anything to do with the remote start, but that there was a software issue needing update. Not a big issue at this point, because I didn't have it before. They addressed the turbo issue and basically told me I needed to go back to factory down pipe/resonator or have it tuned professionally.

If there is anyone who could give me some guidance to get headed in the right direction. I eventually want to have all the bolt on stuff i want for it installed and tuned professionally, but was hoping to be closer to the end of warranty. But anything to make my owning experience of this stinger as good as my last, because I love the car.

Thanks for allowing me to share- I have attached files of what the local dealer would provide me for "diagnosis reports"

To clarify.
Did the new car had 5,600 miles on it before you brought it or you already put 5,600 miles and now having issues.

Does it act up with all OE parts, or just when modded?
I didn't mod it until it had about 1200 miles on it like my last stinger. I initially didn't have any issues. Once I did the swap i only did the down pipes, and left factory exauhst to see if i liked the new baffle sound or my a/m ones better. I drove it like that for a week and about 700-900 miles that week with that setup and no issues. It gradually has gotten worse as time has went on. It is barely reaching 10-12 pounds of boost before it happens. Speeds vary, and mode doesn't matter, but occurs easier in sport mode. You can reset initially by shutting the car off, but once the check engine light comes on it will no longer reset and the car remains with no power.

See thread above, read over it and if there is any other details you may have, just ask. Thank you

I am by no means an expert, but from what I read down pipes can require a tune to prevent overboost. The 22 should be pretty similar but possibly different enough to cause issues.

@shoengine I agree though the dealer told me it was the same, I could tell from dropping my off to get my 22 that the acceleration and response was different right off the rip. And fuel milage was terrible compared to before. I did run the down pipes for about 1200 miles with factory exhaust but never had any issues, I am going to take it all back to stock clear the code, buy what I want for non e85 tune and have it tuned. Sounds like at this point I could be a Gaunea pig

i would almost bet my money if you bought a jb4 with ewg wires it would stop!... the car is prolly overboosting from the downpipes and exhaust and the car thinks there is a leak and is going into limp mode.. the ewg wires with jb4 will stop the overboosting!

i didnt even read the paper the dealership gave you before posting the comment above.. but after reading it I am 99.9% sure the above statement would fix it email terry at terry@burgertuning.com (the owner of the jb4) and ask him. this is actually a pretty common problem with people who upgrade exhaust on the stinger!

I appreciate that. Since I made this thread I exhausted myself researching info, and ultimately got in contact with burger tuning, and received some guidance on what would be the easiest fix for me to enjoy my car. The JB4 sounds like the fix. I am going to purchase a few more bolt on parts and get the tune.
