I don't know if this is true or not, so wanted to ask around here. I read a comment on Reddit (so take with a grain of salt), that the 2023 Stinger's Brembo brakes now come with different pads compared to previous years. The new pads are supposed address the issues from prior years, presumably with deposits.

Anyone else heard this?

Just want to update this thread after speaking with the Reddit commenter further.

The upgrades Brembo Brakes is mentioned in the 2023 training module issued to Kia sales employees.

It states: "Updated Brembo Brakes featuring reduced vibration for 2023 on GT2 trim."

So I'm assuming the update is to the brake pads only. Maybe we are using the European pads? I guess this would be easy to verify if the part number changed from 2022 (and older) to 2023 models.

I have seen this confirmed by at least one person in the FB groups as well. In that case the Dealer ordered and installed the new brake pads (that did have a different part number) into an older car to address the shimy. Hopefully this will become part of the TSB that is already out there and Dealers will just swap the pads rather than mess with the rotors or try to deny warranty work.

If it were me and the Dealer was being a stickler about the 1 year 12,000 mile brake warranty, i'd point to the 2023 as proof it is a defect with the pads and it should be covered regardless of mileage or duration.

If this upgrade is true then all I can say it took Kia long enough to address it.
This issue has been going on from day one & is well documented on FB & forums, Kia has spent a fortune replacing/machining rotors etc.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
