I put H&R 28701-1 on my 2.5t rwd about 10 days ago. The front is a lot higher than the back like I don’t think it even went down. Going to put something new on, what springs or coil overs have y’all used to lower your 2.5t’s?

Specs say you should be 1.2 inches lower front did you measure before and after from ground to fender well? Also will sag a bit once they settle

did you remove the front struts from the car when you installed them? if so, make sure you put them back in the correct orientation. there is a small notch that has to line up with the spindle:

from another thread

also, if you're going to go in there again, here is the write up I was talking about for doing the fronts in 45 minutes each:

RWD only though.

No I didn’t even think to measure until after I put them on, but here’s a pic of the front and the back. @Snowwhite

Yea we took them off, we lined that notch up in the back and they snapped back in. We actually followed those steps.

Especially for the lighter weight 2.0T/2.5T engines, you should've gotten the RWD specific version that H&R makes, which is 28701-2. The US distributor for H&R, for some reason, chose not to import that version. A lot of Stinger/G70 owners had to buy the RWD version from overseas vendors. See here:

FWIW, Eibach also has two versions, but their US distributor does import both.

fyi if you do get those 28701-2, the only difference is the front springs, so you could just swap out the fronts and sell the old fronts plus the new rears as a regular 28701-1 set. that way you can spare yourself the hassle of the rear spring reinstall. Easy, yes, but that's 2 hours extra work.

@Snowwhite @Volfy have y’all seen a pic of a 2.5 rwd with the 28701-2 on it, I can’t seem to find one. I just dont want to buy another set of springs, if its still going to be squatted.

I haven't come across any 2.5T lowered on 28701-2.

You might also do a search on G70 forums for reference. Note that any spring kit designed for the Stinger/G70 platform will have the rear ride height lower on a Stinger than on a G70, because of the extra weight and longer wheelbase. That was definitely our experiences on ours. Eibach does publish estimated ride height for the various Stinger models (3.3T, 2.0T, RWD, AWD, etc.), Even though H&R's spring rates and free lengths will be a bit different compared to those of Eibach, you can use Eibach's numbers as a reference when you compare what you have now with 28701-1, vs. what it might be with the 28701-2.

Yea I was looking at that, says he has M&S springs on it though.
sorry, after 16 pages I was just looking for wheels and headlights.

Okay thank you, I'll try to figure that out.

Yeah thanks for looking, I went a little cross eyed looking through all of those too. There's gotta be somebody out there who has tried these on a 2.5 lol.

I'm on a 3.3 RWD, so I'm not sure I can really compare. I had ARK GT-Fs and the fronts were too high; now I'm on eibachs and it's almost even. close enough i'm not going to bother swapping again, even DIY. the ride on the ARKs was slightly better, but the handling on the eibachs is much better than the ARKs. I have used H&Rs in the past, but not on the Stinger. I had no issues with them.
