I'm not overly crazy about the style of the Genesis and it loses the hatchback?

Also here in Canada they start about 5k-10k more for the 6 cylinder versions.

It’s a 2018 stinger gt (awd) according to the owners Instagram “susstinger” and it doesn’t have a HUD after looking at the pictures. It’s Canadian so not sure how the trims were broken down but might be similar to a GT1 trim because it has the sunroof.

Was excited until I read the comments and apparently the Stinger isn't stock.

The guy that made the video said the Stinger was stock several times in the comments from a performance stand point. It has cosmetic mods only according to him.

Only cosmetic mods and maybe suspension mods?

the stinger supposedly only has cosmetic updates and wheels. I saw some of those comments about an air intake but they are switching the cars in their mind, he used that stinger for the s5 comparison and it was the s5 sportback that had the intake upgrade not the stinger

I confirmed with the Stinger owner that he has a custom exhaust, 2.5” muffler/resonator delete. The other noteworthy item is that he filled with 94 octane fuel. Normally, that wouldn't matter much on a stock car but with the very high heat they were likely heat soaking. If the G70 was from a dealership it was likely running 91 or even 87 octane and in that heat it would likely have pulled timing and thus power.

it did sound like he had exhaust work on that video.

I thought the muffler/resonator delete was a lot louder and raspier.

I feel the biggest difference is the Stinger has broken in and the G70 isn't. If the G70 didn't have premium fuel, then that would absolutely make a difference as well.

Not gonna lie, I never listen to his videos, I just click through.

The G70 was straight from the dealership? Perhaps not even broken in? Engines could take a few thousand miles to break in for peak performance and fuel economy depending on how tight the tolerances are.
