Hello everyone,

This is my first time posting here on the forums and I've had this question I hope someone can answer. I had a 2020 Stinger GT2 and recently upgraded to a 2022. All the little refreshed bits are great but I've noticed that the HK sound system seems to be quieter in the 2022 than my old 2020. I used to find myself keeping the volume around 15-20 but now I feel like I need to have it up to 20-25 for the same volume. I also keep feeling like the bass is less punchy than the old system as well. The most likely answer is probably that I'm imagining things but I figured I'd post to see if anybody else has experienced this. In both cars the main input I use has been Spotify through Apple Carplay with the equalizer at center and On-Stage mode.

Have you updated the infotainment? When I updated from stock to most current, it seemed to get louder.

make sure your Spotify has volume equalization turned off in the settings, it can cause this.

I just updated it to the latest 3 weeks ago so I think I should be good there

I am having a similar issue in my 2022. Android auto is very low. Yes I have normalization turned off in Spotify. I am also aware of the volume adjustment for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay in the system. All that does is increase the master volume. So if I crank it to Max and I connect Android Auto, it's still not very loud but the main volume is maxed. If I unplug my phone and it switches the Bluetooth I'll blow my speakers. I'm not sure what's going on.

Just to be sure--once your phone is plugged into the car's USB for Android Auto, make sure you are also cranking the volume up on your phone itself. Even if you max the volume in the car's systems, you sometimes also need to max the volume via the phone as well.

doh sorry bro. Hope you find the help needed for the issue.

I thought maybe the head unit needed updating but Kia's updater seems to be down and has been down for a while.
