2022+ mbrp exhaust and secondary dp rasp

Has anyone found a way to get rid of the annoying buzzing/rasp that occurs on the mbrp exhaust kit with secondary dp’s around 2200 rpm? I’ve got the 20in mbrp resonators on there as well and it’s not helping. I bought tips to help reduce the interior drone noise but I don’t think they’ll fix the rasp, did hear some vibrant resonators could work but would like to hear if someone figured it out.

Hmm I am surprised you have rasp still. I may sound crazy but you sure they were not put on the wrong? I have the mbrp valved setup with ark. When i had the resonators on it did kill most of that rasp you talking about but made the setup sound far too quiet and almost flat.

I took a video after i got the resonators installed:

Really didn't like the resonators and took them off after a while. After a few months I'd say the rasp is less. I did put on some larger 5 inch tips but those probably didn't change the tone really.

Here it is without resonators when i just got jb4 setup (it sounds killer under boost pretty different than before):

Might just need to give the setup some time. I know that's what also helped reduce some of the booming/tinning interior sound and that rasp around 2k rpm. But yeah I know that rasp you talking about.

Yeah idk why mine are so bad compared to everyone else’s that I hear. I was thinking of removing tue resonators but it sucks that if I do that they’ll have to weld on pipes to make up for the space that was cut off for them, I was thinking maybe I need longer resonators or try some vibrant ultra quiets?

Yeah that sounds different than mine. Kind of sounds like one of the valves might be not functioning properly or it might be an exhaust hanger. Does it make the same sound when you have it in comfort mode?

I think you posted on the kiastinger reddit group of that rattle sound. Yeah now I am suspecting something to do with the valves or hanger but that's just a guess. Initially I thought maybe the pipe was touching the fake exhaust tips but they appear to be centered. I know when my hanger was broken it made a terrible buzzing sound like yours no matter if valves were closed or open.

Have you had it looked at with a muffler shop?

Yeah it makes the noise in comfort and sport mode, I was also thinking maybe the valves are the culprit. Is there anyway I could maybe tighten them down? Could be lose. I am planning to get it checked out by the muffler shop that installed them but idk if they’re to familiar with valved systems

Instead, I would reach out to mbrp to get replacement parts. They most likely will send you two sets of mufflers. Definitely contact them and see what they say. The warranty is there anyway for a good reason. I would send them the video link to help diagnose the issue.

My brother who has a charger v8 with borla had a similar issue with his valve not working reached out to borla and they sent him a bunch of replacement parts. No matter what he tried to fix his valves issue it just wouldn't work.

Oh I was going to ask that. Yes reach out to them asap. They are usually quick with mbrp to get your issue resolved.

I got mine from them too! They've helped users with issues like this before. Hopefully you get the mufflers replaced and can enjoy that deep tone!
