Hey guys, I have a 2022 Kia Stinger GT2 Scorpion edition, I have the active exhaust and recently installed the HFC and mid pipe combo.

My car before the combo had a very slight and weird rattle from the rear when accelerating and coasting. Didn't think much of it back then. Recently I installed the HFC and mid pipe combo and after about 2 months I noticed that same rattle got a tad louder. I was able to pinpoint it to the active exhaust valve flap.

I was wondering if anyone has a temporary or permanent fix to reduce the noise or get rid of it without getting an aftermarket exhaust. Thank you.

disconnect cable, apply gorilla super glue all around. I kid.

I have the same problem, but with my Proceed GT - it sounds like someone rattling an old beans can full of nuts and washers. I can't find any obvious solution other than disconnecting the cable from it, and then jamming the valve manually - there is a hole in the side of it into which you can stuff a rod.

Part out

I had some rattling of the exhaust on my GTS. Strangely enough it turned out to be a torn/cut exhaust hanger. It was a very clean cut so maybe it was a manufacturing defect.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I actually ended up figuring out it wasn't my exhaust valve rattling, I believe the high-pressure fuel pump is what is making noise then resonating towards the back of the exhaust making it sound like it's rattling. Used a stethoscope and 99% of that noise is loudest at the hpfp.

Use remote start at cold start while standing behind the car to observe the exhaust valve rattle. Factory valves are usually garbage so you don’t need to have any faith in them. If it bothers you too much you can just simply unplug it and leave it on all the time since it should only rattles when the valve is closed.
