Interesting that Kia lowered the base price of the GT1 by $900 but you don't get the HK 15 speaker set or memory seats? Weird. Guess they want to push people more to the GT2. I think my 2021 GT1 just went up in value. NOT..

really? where?
Going back a month now there's been several discussions like this spread over several threads. Specifically, much of the discussion is around the restructuring of the trim levels (GT/GT1/GT2).

2022 Kia Stinger Full America Info!!

It's a safe bet with a new model coming out there would be some discussion on a car forum dedicated to that model car.

You'll find threads related to Stinger news in the Stinger News forum:

Well, you did get the last GT1 that is a full GT1. :P

Yes, this is discussed quite a bit, but as said, all over the place. It's easy to miss a lot of that.

Looking over the GT-Line and GT1 features on the Kia "build" site, it seems that the new GT1 falls pretty much in between the previous "base" GT and GT1. Kia is making a few more bucks on the new GT1.

See, this is what I am talking about: I don't see most of those threads on that Neewz board, because I don't go to the boards individually; I click open threads from "New Posts"; that's how I surf the Stinger Forum. Heh! For the first few months on here I didn't even see "New Posts"; it was pointed out to me; I was scrolling the boards page and clicking things open that looked interesting (very inefficient). I am not really an Internet guy either (not really a car guy): I just come here and peruse news feed headlines. I've sworn off of using YouTube (a resolve I am imperfect in following up on), Facebook is dead to me, I never Twittered or went anywhere else: yet most of my daylight hours are spend at the 'puter. That's how inefficient I am. So, I sympathize with @Montanaman when he says, "where?" :P

It's madness, madness I tell you!

Thanks Merlin

Another question I'm sure I could find if I wanted to spend another half hour searching is:

Is the adaptive suspension the same on both the GT1 and GT2 cars? I thought yes.

Yes. Although the different model years might have it turned differently. We tried to figure out if that was true, but I don't remember any consensus on whether or not later model years were stiffer in Sport mode than 2018 suspension tuning.
