Just Bought the car and plan on buying a JB4 Tuner, some Coil Overs, and upgrading brakes. Id like to upgrade to brembo braking system but dont know if the parts are interchangeable with stock wheels. i will change the wheels if absolutely needed but would rather not right at the moment.

Howdy and welcome. Brembos have been added by others to the 2.0L trims. There isn't a problem of the Brembos fitting inside any OEM 18" wheel. Just the cost: you will have to have GT rotors also, if I recall what I read after this long, it's been a couple years anyway.

Thanks for the reply!
I work for Kia as a technician i just needed to make sure of the parts to get. since I want them, as well have had customers ask if it can be done that easily.
so just Rotors, Pads, Calipers, and Brake hoses?

I’ve done the Brembo swap in my 2022…well, fronts anyways, so far. Unless you can get the seals/dust covers easily, I’d suggest keeping them red- it would’ve solved a few problems and saved money if I had not had mine powdercoated- personally, didn’t like the red on green. Didn’t spare any dough, but I did shop around to find best pricing, the results are really good and worth it. If you have an early 4-banger turbo (2018/2019 I think), you have even smaller rotors and will see even bigger improvements. I admit tho, the stock brakes on the 2022 were already pretty good, they just got better….

It’s cosmetic mainly for wanting to swap them. Love the look and the potential for improvements. I don’t plan on the little 4 banger to push a bunch of power and do all performance mods. Just something nice to cruise in. And be a DD for when it’s nice out.

I get it, cosmetically it POPS! But even getting the calipers off EBay, it gets pricey- I could’ve mitigated the cost by going with the DBA rotors in the front, but the EBC rotors sure are a fine product and I have no regrets spending the extra 5 hundos on them.

Oh yeah they do look great! I’m just going to use factory parts. As it’ll be a bit cheaper for me. But what parts are actually needed to make the swap?

Everything you stated above, but you might not need new brake lines, I went with the SS braided StopTechs, but I believe you won't have too. It's only another $150 for the StopTechs, so I made the plunge.

Awesome. Thanks for the help and input. We don’t sell many of the cars. So I don’t know too much about them yet

May have to screw with the dust shields too. Just not to hit the new rotors, trim em or replace them just due to the bigger rotors

I believe this may only be true with the 2018/19 4cyl models with the 320mm rotors. My front 2022 dust shields (with 340mm rotors) did NOT have to be trimmed…I don’t know about the rears yet, but I think unlikely.

Noted. when I get the parts and everything ill check fitment of that first. worse case ill just trim and buy new dust covers.

Welp I don’t see anything after this post, I have EBC rotors and pads coming and getting the Brembo calipers tomorrow, did you have to do any trimming of the shields for the front/ rear? Also do you have an IG page?

TIA

If yours is 2.0T, then most likely you do have to bend/trim or replace the rear dust shields. Front OEM shields fit the Brembo calipers just fine. See here: FAQ: Vibration under braking: warped rotors? NO!

2.5T Stinger reportedly already come with the larger dust shields.

Correct, no trimming of the dust shields required F/R- at least on the 2022/3 GT-Lines. The larger dust shields might have been put on the 2.0Ts for the 20/21 MYs, when Kia increased rotor size both F/R, but IDK for sure.
