So the guys at Carwow easily achieved a 4 sec flat 0-60mph run and a 12.4 sec @110mph 1/4mile with the new Golf R. Those are wild numbers for a hot hatch.

My goodness... Very impressive! :D

I know 3 guys who have modified GTI's and 1 cool cat I know who has an R and they're probably dying with joy over this video! A lot of the guys I know currently driving a type of German toy such as a BMW or Audi has a type of Golf in the past too... haha

That's so funny because the Golf-R (with DSG) has always been one of my favorite "daily driver" cars for the last decade. They're so low-profile, blend right in, and yet have so much kick.

Huge respect for VW! Amazing!! :D

Agreed that's my favorite part about the Golf R too, it really flies under the radar as just another Golf unless you're a car enthusiast.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I almost bought one, was the other car I test drove and narrowed down to. Happy with the Stinger, definitely don't like how the 2022 (Golf R) looks compared to the previous gen.

I love the Golf cars so much... GTI and R are so incredible... :D

My number one choice for the ultimate sleeper and daily driver... I can bring it through the ghetto or stop at a junkie gas station and not have to worry... love it :p

The Stinger has the opposite problem it seems... when I have to drive through bad neighborhoods it turns too many undesirable heads. Yesterday I had to go to Walgreens to pick up some meds and it was in a more "unkempt" part of the area (then again most of the Yonkers area I am in is pretty sketch since we're right outside of a ghetto Bronx) and I had a man approach me as I was getting out of my car asking if I could spare a few dollars... I said I don't carry cash... which is true... wasn't too negative but annoying... never had that problem borrowing the 2002 Corolla and visiting the same area...
