My Wife has it on her 2020 Niro. The features are cool.. A little slow in react time but it works.UVO stinks in the US. I can't even connect to it with my TracFone. But judging by all comments from US owners, it is a pile ofanyway.
Yeah. I should say UVO in the Stinger stinks. As an over all service, I have no idea. But nobody has said anything positive about UVO in the US in the Stinger. My Wife has it on her 2020 Niro. The features are cool.. A little slow in react time but it works.
Can you tell us about the compustar remote? The total cost including installation, the concern about voiding the warranty?Yeah it's a bummer for sure. Wonder if the 2022 Stinger refresh will have more UVO features?

I was worried about my car warranty while doing this installation of the remote start. If something happens with the electrical system, can’t they claim it was installed improperly? That’s why I’m leaning towards having Kia install something.I purchased and had the Compustar system installed at Best Buy for a total of about $350. I purchased an upgraded remote for an additional $250.
No concerns about voiding the warranty and even if it does I would much rather have the Compustar system rather than the OEM KIA kit. The system, especially with the fancy T11 remote, has been amazing and I would highly recommend it.

@SnowyGT2 which compustar system did you get? And is the $350 install price for us mear mortals? Seems like I remember you saying something about a "hook up" at your BB.
Guess I'll add this to my watch list and see if I can find it on sale maybe during the upcoming holiday buying season.I did get a deal for sure. The system was on sale for $249 and had to have ~$75 dollars worth of extra cables and switches. All that with free installation at the time totaled about $350.
I wouldn't recommend the system full price at $599. That's way too much and if installation wasn't free it would be $100+.
The Drone subscriptions aren't cheap though and I ended up getting the three year Premium plan for $280 as it's more expensive going monthly.
If anyone is interested this remote start kit is on sale at Best Buy for $350 installed and includes many of the harnesses necessary (One for 12.99 you need to purchase it seems). Based on what I have in my cart, price before tax is about $363....seriously considering this at this price point. Here is what I got: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/compus...stem-lte-module-black/6363155.p?skuId=6363155

@SnowyGT2 , are you able to use the remote that came with the car to remote start it? Or does it require the remote included with the kit? I recall the 12Volt Solutions kits you used the cars standard remote to remote start the car.
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, those to parts were included in the cost and I have my appointment scheduled for November 6th. Looking forward to having this installed.Good to see it's on sale again. I had two other accessories (1 and 2) that were added on for installation so not sure if something has changed since March.
Yes I can use the KIA OEM key to remote start the vehicle by quickly pressing the lock button three times but I'm not sure if that has to be configured by the tech doing the install to get that to function though.
