2020 Info

I don't see any mention of Highway Driver Assist (HDA). Does that mean the technology is the same as what's in the 2019 model?

The "Power-tilt and telescopic steering wheel" isn't mentioned either (but the 2018 brochure only showed that under the "Premium" trim anyway, which was a funny omission for the GT trims:p).

No Silky Silver at all? Cool. My color gets more rare yet. :D

Best marketing ploy: "my" idea that only calling the 2.0L a "Stinger" or "Premium" with no reference to "GT" (Gran Turismo) was a mistake; it sounded like the 2.0L engine wasn't worthy of the GT moniker. Now ALL Stingers are GTs. Yay, Kia. :D

From Kia website... It should be better at staying in the lane as compared to lane keep assist since it uses the car in front of you along with the lines.

Highway Driving Assist (HDA)
Highway Driving Assist (HDA) is a driving convenience and safety system that reduces driver burden on highways and motorways by controlling the vehicle’s steering, acceleration and deceleration functions to maintain the speed set by the driver, keep a safe distance from the vehicle directly ahead, and keep the vehicle in the center of its current lane.

HDA uses navigational information to determine whether the vehicle is on a highway or motorway. When the vehicle is on a highway or motorway, HDA maintains the speed set by the driver or the speed limit of the highway or motorway. At the same time, it considers the lane information collected through its front view camera, and relative position and speed of the vehicle directly ahead computed using its front view camera and front radar, to control steering, acceleration and deceleration while keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
HDA just adds the speed control to the system through the cruise control. You must intially set the cruise speed to the exact speed that shows on the nav system to activate it. Once that is activated, if the speed changes on the nav from 70 to 55, it then sets your cruise control to 55. It's pretty much useless as the nav is wrong on the speeds around here for most part and it doesn't recognize construction areas. The SCC and LKA are the same.

I test drove the Palisade and Stinger GT2 and thought the Palisade did a better job at staying in the lane. Maybe it was due to Lane Following Assist, although the description of HDA sounds like it is more than just adjusting the cruise control setting:

Highway Driving Assist will utilize Kia’s radar and LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging radar) systems to interpret lane markings, allowing the car to stay in its lane and switch into others to overtake or change road. This comprehensive system removes the necessity for drivers to use the steering wheel, indicators or acceleration and brake pedals in many situations, while displaying key information on the LCD head-up display (HUD)

The 2020 Telluride and Palisade have LFA and HDA and I was hoping the 2020 Stinger would get it too.
