I recently purchased a Kia Stinger and I didn't have a USB cord during the walk-through. Now, when I attempt to connect my phone to enable Carplay, the head unit doesn't recognize my phone. However, when I plug it into the Carplay USB port, it charges the phone, but no recognition and I get the message, "A smartphone is required to use UVO. Connect phone via USB and try again."

I have made sure Siri is enabled, restarted my phone, tried different USB cords, and I am unsure if the head unit is bad, or if I am doing something incorrectly. Has anyone else encountered this issue before?

Just guessing here but have you gone through the car menus and enables carplay in the "Phone Projection" menu option?

Are you sure the USB cable you are using is data and power and not just power only?

Yeah.. cheap cables sometimes only provide power. Try another (original, if possible) cable.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
