Hi all,

Chicago buyer here.

Looking at staying under 30K so options are somewhat limited. I received a 25K quote from a Kia dealer for a brand new 2019 Kia Stinger Base. I’m assuming I’ll hit the 30K mark once all this other fees kick in. I’ve always preferred slightly used vehicles as the depreciation allows me to upgrade to a brand, model, or trim that would otherwise be out of my price range. What are your thoughts on the 2018 used trims that 30K could buy me vs a brand new 2019 base trim?

Any thoughts or comparison would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You could probably get a used GT for $30k right now, especially if it's yellow.

Wow didn’t realize the V6 fell in my price range. Definitely buying black but I may stick with with the 2.0 for better fuel economy.

Definitely test drive both, the difference for me was night and day, and I was sold on the V6 in a single 0-60.

You don't buy a sports car for its fuel economy :) My GT2 gets me 30mpg on long trips. Coming from a 13yr old truck that got me 15 I'm good with that.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I think a pretty large number of members here would disagree with that. The 2.0 is still a good looking, luxurious, and nice-handling vehicle.
