My car was recently involved in a very minor side collision which the shop said resulted in the front right strut being a hair damaged. The shop said it's off spec by 0.1 mm.
They said they are having some real hard time finding the front right strut or camber kit for the electronic suspension and that Kia is somehow no longer making a lot of parts for stingers? ;(

Anyone has any hints or suggestion?

My only input here is to ask where "they" got the idea that the front camber is adjustable on the Stinger? The rear can be adjusted, but the front camber is fixed from the factory. Any "camber kit" will be an aftermarket mod.

I see plenty in stock, there was a superceeded part number, so if they were looking for that instead, that would explain why they're saying it's not available.

I wonder what happens if you need warranty work 5 years from now, do they just go "sorry no parts, pound sand."?
yeah, i bought a 7yr extended warranty for my used car. Warranty is no good if no part avail...lol...

snowwhite, thanks for the part site ;)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
you can also check for the same part from a G70 on the hyundai parts sites. since that car is still in production you should be able to get the part somewhere...

I'd like to know what kind of instruments that shop is using to measure any parameter of the front suspension geometry to that level of precision. Adjustments of 0.1mm is absurd. The entire front suspension will shift and flex around by far more than that in normal driving.

I would hazard a guess that if Kia/Genesis actually made a front camber kit, there would've been some evidence of it on the world wide webs. The fact that there has been no such thing ever shown online points to the inextricable conclusion that there was NONE made by Kia/Genesis.

Unlike other MacPherson struts that have bolted lower ends, Stinger/G70 front strut uses a cup and cylinder lower joint. That pretty much rules out any possibility for a lower "camber kit", short of a full-blown set of adjustable lower joints. That you'll really only find on racing cars and would cost you some beaucoup bucks. So... the only possible "camber kit" would be a top-end shifting camber plate. Lots of aftermarket coilovers come with those. None of them - as far as I know - can be retrofitted onto the OEM strut.

And if you go with a set of coilovers, good luck shifting the camber adjustment by 0.1mm.
Anyone has any hints or suggestion?
I have a suggestion... talk to somebody else at that body shop that doesn't talk out of their rear end. Or, find a different body shop.

So the repair place says that part 54660J5570 which is the RH front strut for automatic damper is out of production. That the other strut on there avail for order is not the correct one. Any thought?

is this strut with automatic damper still avail for GV70?

you might want to call a dealer, because the way I read this site, this is the replacement for it:
