Looking to get some advice/options on purchasing a used Kia Stinger.

Im currently looking at a GT2 AWD thats local to me. It was acquired by Kia to be resprayed and has ~30k miles.
It appears to be a very nice deal right around 33k private party. The car has been tuned with JB4, intakes, exhaust and looks to have been maintained.

What are key things I need to be aware of when purchasing a used stinger?
Any concerns that its tuned?

Howdy and welcome to your first post. Make sure the Sunset Yellow respray "took": if you see anything that looks amiss, flakey (literally) or otherwise not perfectly sound, run away.

Other than that, none of those addons should be an issue: try and determine if the car was used and abused (driven like a track machine). If it was a normal daily driver, then those addons were probably just for enjoyment (bragging rights) and the occasional showing off. In the current market, $33K is probably normal for 30K miles, sorry to say.

I'll never intentionally buy a previously tuned vehicle unless I had detailed first hand knowledge of how it was driven. IMO most people don't tune their cars to drive conservatively. The Stinger handles tuning fine, but long term I'd be worried about premature part failure like any other engine (and drivetrain) running closer to the edge of its engineering and limitations. If the originally warranty is still valid, and you're willing/able to revert the tune if there is a failure, then I suppose the price for relatively low miles is fair.

The fact it was/is tuned and was repainted are red flags to me to find something else. I'm risk averse, and can't afford to take on issues from the car I need to function for me when I 'turn the key' each day.

Well guys looks like I had to change directions.

The Sunset Yellow GT2 owner just couldnt communicate worth a damn - Ive been trying to purchase the car for over a month - and I couldnt wait any longer. Ended up picking up a very gently used 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance with only 7,000 miles on it.

Maybe the next car I add will be a Stinger!

Aint nothing wrong with the model 3, especially that particular variant.

Interestingly, people seem to be dumping their mod parts left and right (due to the possible end of production) on this site...you can only guess what is happening to their cars ;)

I might be listing my stock/OEM exhaust for sale pretty soon. Tips too. :p

In which section of this forum can I find where people are putting their parts for sale? I'm in the market for... Everything
