So I just bought a 2018 base model and got all excited with the debadging and all. And of course, I'm greeted with the news of the 2019 model possessing all the cool GT exterior and interior features standard, so I'm starting to feel a slight sense of regret for not waiting...

Should I have waited? I did take advantage of the lease buyout with the $6,000 lease cash rebate to bring it down significantly.

I'm currently in the process of getting financing for the remaining balance after the down payment. I kind of still have the option to reverse if the 2019 base model that much more amazing. Would love your thoughts.

Depends entirely on what you want. If all the added features are ho hum, then stick with the better deal. Is your dealer giving you a bunch off the MSRP up front? Because s/he won't do that on a brand new 2019. Without the 2019 added on features, the car, Base Stinger to GT2, is a great CAR. They all look fantastic and drive for fun: Casual, relaxed road trip luxurious comfort, or Zero to Sixty in Five (more or less :D), and cornering. The 2019s won't improve on that experience even a single jot.

Dont worry about it. I do feel you and every model year there will be changes whether on pricing, add ons or mechanical. There is never a best time to buy. Just enjoy and look forward in your purchase. It is a Great car irregardless! Not forgetting you had a 6k cash rebate!

So far what we have seen is the Canadian Stinger Base model, nothing on the US version yet. The main things will be on the GT2 from what we hear, nothing concrete until they drop.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I have a 2.0T base- very happy but strongly wish I had the lane change warning feature. Rear vis is poor in this car.

Those side mirrors give very good visibility. Just angle them out to the correct position. Most people have their side mirrors angled in too far: they feel insecure if they can't see down the side of their vehicle. But that is just wasted visibility out to the side. The correct way to position your mirrors to get maximum visibility is to lay your head against the driver's window and angle the driver side mirror out until you can just barely see the side of the car. Then lean inward until your head is centered over the center console. Angle the passenger side out until you can barely see the side of the car. When you sit up centered in your seat and look into either mirror, you will not see any part of your own vehicle. And at first you will feel like there is a blind spot near both sides of your car, but this is illusory: nothing can fit inside that thin gap! And now you have a lot of view out to the side and rear of both sides of your Stinger. Those mirrors are BIG.

Are you referring to Blind Spot, that is more for behind you, lane change looks at the line where you are crossing it. I never have lane change active.
