Hello, I did the brake snip before, but I don't know what happened, when I went for test drive, I got a warning in my dash, SHIFTER SYSTEM MALFUNCTION, I was not able to drive and D or R, car need to towed to the dealership, they ending changing the transmission because they couldn't figure out what was the problem after changing many parts. I did the brake snip again yesterday I tested and work, I did a small pull and I got 4.3 0 to 60 with dragy, that was awesome, me best number so far, but I know I didn't do it right because I got scared when the RPM passed 3000 rpm, I could probably get better numbers, I have a JB4 map2 running on 93 and HPS intake, I have to realese the brake and the gas pedal was half way when the RPM pass 3000 RPM so I let go and got does numbers.
My questions is, I hope someone can help me with it.
1. How high I should get the RPM before let the brake pedal go?

2. How often can I use the brake snip?

3. How bad can be brake snip for the car? Even when you don't use it everyday

1. You shouldn't be worried about RPM as much as how much boost. Boost is what's going to hurt your Transmission. I try and keep it under 10#
2. As often as you want, or until the Transmission blows. Are you a risk taker? I am, so I have a ton of track launches
3. No one can or will answer that, it's an ambiguous question. That's like asking "How bad can adding extra boost be to a car?"

Thanks, I am be watching so many videos about stinger getting really close n so many races beating cars way more powerful from dig, when you check the mod, allway have the snip whith out any problems, when I did mine in January 21, I was able to do a burnout didn't have the opportunity to try a launch because broke down while I was testing the snip.

Burnout only hurt your tires right?

Thanks again, I'll do another run asap and I'll post the dragy number,

Thanks, I know we take are own risk, I think what I did wrong the first time was, I didn't disconnect the battery and the ECU never when to sleep. Congrats with does # 11.3 @ 123mph, really impressed. I'll do a run asap to see how will be, I am sure will be good number, I am hoping really low 4s 0 to 60 and lows 12s 1/4 Mile, I need to do it on one of does backroad because is not race track near me, you know is difficult get the right numbers.

Thanks again for all tips

Nice. Another guy “accepting the risk” but pulling everything off and having warranty work done when you screw the car up.

Merp.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I did that, remove all mods, the mechanic who worked on my car, we had small chat at the parking lot, he told me, Kia can't see when the ECU is tuned, Kia don't have that program like infinity or others dealership, they plug back my JB4 cable to OBD2, the Jb4 was not in the car.

He said, to make sure you don't have stuff visible, because the mechanic who working in the car can report and noted in the system and we know what can happen after that, but they can't see your ECU if is tuned, also the dealership doesn't want you car be out off warranty because they will not make money, pretty much they don't care as long you don't do something crazy.
