Hello All,

I recently purchased a 2019 GT2 AWD. I want to put snow tires on it for the winter and am looking to buy a second part of wheels. I was going to purchase 19 inch wheels but the tires I wanted were sold out for the winter and will not be available again until May 2020. So I purchased 4 18 inch tires and am now trying to source the 18 inch wheels.

I looked through a number of threads here on the forum, spoke to 4 different dealer's parts departments and checked some online parts sources. Everywhere I look I can find 3 different part numbers for Stinger 18 inch wheels but from the pictures they appear to be from the 4 cylinder models now renamed the GT-Line. (Parts 52910-j5100, 52910-j5110, 52910-j5120).

I am trying to find the 18 inch 5 Y spoke wheels that match the standard GT model wheels. Does anyone know the part number?

Thanks.

For winter wheels, you really are better off getting cheapies. They’re gonna get thrashed in winter driving.

I get wanting the look... but oem 18’s brand new won’t be cheap.

Tire rack has decent looking $120-$150 a wheel options.

The reason why there are three different parts numbers for 18" wheels is because the 2.0L uses one wheel pattern (as you surmised); the GT 18" rim; and there is a special 18" rim that I know came out on the Canadian Limited Kia 20 (or was it 25?) year anniversary trim. It is the Internet, so crossing national boundaries is bound to happen. :p

As said, you want something "cheaper" than the GT rims; those suckers cost $630 APIECE, when I looked into how much back in the spring of 2018. Seriously overpriced. Ya think?

Put A/S on your 18" wheels (or winter tires if you are way up north, e.g. Michigan), and spend the winter finding rims for fair weather driving. (see my signature for how I ended up doing this)

And, Welcome to the forum!

My car came with the staggered 19s and Summer tires and I could not get the winter tires I wanted in those sizes. I don't have any 18 inch wheels to use at this moment. I understand the cost of the factory wheels but they are what I want. I am using some of the smart money I saved buying the higher performing/quailty Stinger over the German alternatives.

As for the 3 part numbers I listed none of the 3 are the GT lookalike wheels. 110 and 120 look the same, I believe 120 replaced 110.

Thanks for the welcome.

I get it. "Money is no object" in this case: you want the OE GT 18" wheels. What I don't understand is your difficulty in identifying them at a dealership. That is really weird. Should be a simple go in, look up on computer, order, pick up later. Are you saying that that is what you tried already?

You're the first person I've heard of who bought the tires first and then went looking for the wheels!

Yep, At the dealer they always start with the VIN and they show 2 part numbers which are the front and reat 19s, and 3 part numbers which are 18s that don't match the GT wheels. If they do a search by model without a VIN they come up with the same parts. I know that the matching 18s exist and are shipping on cars today. They can be seen on the KIA webpage configurator too, and people have discussed them here.

This link shows pictures/part numbers that match what the dealer showed me on their screen.
<edited I cannot post links yet>
If you go to factorykiapartsonline and look up 2019 Kia Stinger wheels they have the pics.

I ended up buying the 18 inch tires because of the number in stock, I didn't want to miss out on that size as well. I didn't think the wheels would be a hard part number to find. I have only had the car for 2 weeks and I bought the tires the first week.

I bought an extra set of original rims for my car :D

I guess there is a degree of incompetence going on with the Kia service department that you are working with. There is no way that 18" wheels are unavailable. At this point, I would be contacting Kia Corp. directly.

Ok I wrote some text and tried to attach a picture, and it just did the picture without the text.

Here is what I wrote:

Well finally have an answer to my question. I kept poking around on online Kia part order sites, and there has been a new update to the catalog.

The part number for the 18inch 5 Y spoke factory rims is 52910-j5130

There is no image associated with it. After speaking with another dealers parts department they did not have a picture/diagram for that part either. They contacted Kia and got a run around, Kia did not have an image or description for the part and sent a request to Kia Korea. I opened a separate case directly with Kia myself. After 2 weeks of waiting the dealer agreed to order a single wheel to verify it is the correct part at no cost or restocking fee to me if it was incorrect. They received the wheel yesterday and sent me a picture. It is the correct part.

cheers.
