Quite possible it had a little break in period and it got louder?

I have no way of measuring this or proving it, but I can tell when I start my car up now the exhaust does sound more prevalent.

thoughts, opinions?

It's often said about exhaust systems that they will change in tone after some hours of use. So it's believable. I'm closing in on 7,000 miles and I was thinking something similar just the other day. Doesn't mean I'm keeping it, though. LOL

Very possible..it's happened to me on the mustang and thank goodness along with getting louder, it also got deeper which is what I was wanting.

I would agree at least on cold start. Listening to the video I just took after installing led reflectors it sure doesn't sound like it used to.

And I thought there was something wrong with my memory ...:)
Hitting 7,300 km and the note is more a growl/rumble when stepping on the accelerator.
Thank you for confirming that my brain still functions as it should :) :)

This can be normal after a period of time the pipes “carbon up” & the exhaust note can get deeper & sound louder.

fer sure ... after 60 you don't dare to fart anymore, unless you are wearing nappies...

I have notice the same. I'm at 3100 miles and it definitely sounds deeper. My neighbor the other day approach me and saids he love the exhaust as I drove past him. I was like "really!?"
